Sometimes I forget that the two Parties are not that far apart. After going through the Vietnam War for almost a decade, it just hard to imagine how the Dems. can be so closely tied to socialism/Marxism/and communism. We fought a hard, difficult war to keep communism out of America, a huge loss of blood and treasure. And look at us now. Those who did not live through the Cold War know nothing of Communism. Our schools don't teach the history of Communism and the millions that were killed everywhere it was tried and failed. The schools also don't teach how great America is. Our children refuse to stand and pledge allegiance to the flag because of ignorance of our history. They embrace socialism which is the next step to Communism. I fear for the countries future, between a corrupt bloated Government and a dumbed down electorate America may very well be doomed.

It's sad. They treat our flag with the utmost of disrespect. The number of men and women who died to keep that flag up and flying high is a tragedy and some of these younger thugs are so disrespectful. Even the teachers get involved in the act. Not moving in a good direction for SOME from my standpoint. Obama brought on a lot of this disrespectful attitude....with law enforcement, with the military. Eight years of his CRAP has brought on a certain distaste toward patriotism for some. It's a sad state of affairs. Now on the bright side Trump is trying to bring that feeling of patriotism like we had right after 9/11. Remember everyone had flags flying in all different directions? Nine eleven was a very sad day, but it brought us ALL together. We were unified as a country. Did we have one day like that when Obama was president? Hell no! Many who fight for this S/M/C attitude would have a different take if they spent any amount of time in Viet Nam.

I decided to fly the flag with Roman Numeral III & 13 STARS representing the original 13 colonies. The III is Representative of the 3% of our forefathers who fought in the American Rovolution

My Grandmother is and was a Daughter of the American Revolution. My father a Navy SeaBee fought on Iwo Jima, a 1st class Chief Petty Officer
