Since the war on marijuana has not been won after untold amounts of money and resources have been dedicated. After so many lives have been upended because of arrest and conviction. Taking all of these proven facts along with the fact that alcohol has a much more violent effect on people and you have the information needed to make an informed decision about legalizing and controlling marijuana.
Certainly their are exceptions to prove every rule, but the facts speak very loudly that efforts to prohibit marijuana have failed miserably (like alcohol) and will continue - period. Oh, and a side note, any one who is 25 plus years of age and still living at home has serious issues, maybe enhanced but very unlikely caused by marijuana. The article cited here seems to point to a scapegoat for a much more serious problem, inadequate parenting.

Did smoking pot cause their problems or did the illegality of it? There is literally millions of people in the for profit, corporate owned prisons that are guilty of nothing but possessing the stuff.

Poor parenting and inept schooling are more to blame for destroyed lives that any marijuana use. Think about it, why would anyone turn to marijuana to such an extent as to destroy their life if not for something missing? Just like anti-gunners blame the guns, anti-marijuana folks would blame the inanimate rather than face the true facts. Wake up!
