Because America has terrible public t***sit systems.

I know that sounds stupid to some of you, but look at it this way:
If you want a customer to buy/use your product over and over, you have to make a good product to begin with.
If I buy a product, or service, and it doesn't meet my needs, I won't be a returning customer.

USS Maine

While watching a TV program this evening I noticed a "shiny" gold colored monument in the background and became curious about its meaning/purpose.
What I found was: I was seeing the USS Maine monument in New York's Central Park. It was built as a memorial for the 268 sailors who died in the explosion of the USS Maine in Havana (Cuba) Harbor in 1898. Then President "Teddy" Roosevelt used the event as an excuse to enter inter into a war with Spain (The Spanish American War).
Turns out today Feb 15, 2023 is the 125th anniversary of that tragic day.
Some times it is very interesting what you learn when you get a little bit curious.

The two Voyager space probes launched in 1977 had a metal disc attached with a etched drawing of a naked man, among other things depicting mankind.
Amazingly, the probes were expected the last five years but NASA had contact with them as recently as 2020.

She admits to having had to take a math course six times in order to graduate... Her degree is in visual arts and she was jobless for a year upon graduation...Which led to her first moving to Korea to teach ESL (fired three times in a year) and later China (fired twice in her first year and now unemployed despite there being a desperate need for foreign ESL teachers over here)... She hasn't made a student debt payment in over a year due to the debt freeze, but will be unable to do so when the freeze ends...

She, and many like her, blame their issues on c***d and bad luck (she was fired five times in 2 1/2 years!!!) and openly advocate for student debt forgiveness...

I have a very different solution to student debt...Stop giving loans to i***ts who choose useless majors... When a straight A student applies for a medical program, that's the time for loans...
