So, the general impression I’m getting from this new addition to DHS, is l*****ts are for it and conservatives are against it. I have to make the assumption that l*****ts are for it because it is currently being controlled by l*****ts who feel they would get to say what is disinformation or not. However, what will they say when a conservative President and Congress get in and they decide what is disinformation or not. As a relatively independent, I’d rather not have some bureaucratic group deciding what is true or not. Neither side has a strong track record of being correct on much.

I’m also in Illinois. Can’t add much except we are leading in people packing up and permanently leaving the state, although California and New York are coming on strong. We are the benchmark for state level corruption and Chicago is known as America’s shooting gallery.

Do you feel the same way about Alec Baldwin? A person is dead directly because of his negligence and stupidity. I personally have empathy for the family. They lost a sibling, son and he was a baby daddy. Never mind that he was also a thug with illegal possession of a weapon warrants and a record of violent crimes, he was still a young man with a family. The woman that Baldwin shot also had a family. The officer that k**led the young man stated she made a mistake with the wrong weapon and has repeatedly expressed remorse and sorrow and has never denied she pulled the trigger. I have empathy to her because she has to live with the fact she has k**led someone while making a split second decision in the line of duty. Baldwin k**led someone negligently in front of witnesses and is denying any responsibility and there has been virtually no backlash on him. He’s already working on another film and has his podcast up and running. I just get tired of the double standards.

No one that is all for electric vehicles has been able to tell me what we are supposed to use for farming equipment or heavy machinery. Farmers use large diesel equipment during planting and harvest that run sometimes 24 hrs a day. I’m waiting to see what happens in California when the gas engine ban goes full force. “We are the breadbasket of America! We supply all this food!” Not when there isn’t the equipment and infrastructure to plant, harvest and get it to markets or distribution centers. Most of the people I hear that are the loudest for electric vehicles have no idea how farming and product t***sport works.

Can’t argue with any of that. They probably appreciated you pointing them at a better employer. If the guy was shorting his people and lying to you about it, he was probably not doing the jobs properly either
