Auntie, I'm and have found that it's cheaper to maintain my 2006 Ford than to get a new or used vehicle. I have a mechanic who knows my car inside and out and after 200,000 miles when some thing wears out, he replaces it. I set aside moneys monthly for car repair, it adds up quickly to pay for repairs. I change the oil every 3000 miles even though it looks as clean as when it was changed. I use fuel and oil treatment, it doesn't cost much but will extend the life of the engine.
I'm going to drive this thing until it simply dies of old age. Being 72 and having spent my whole life working with my body (Head also) I don't know who will go first.
