I think I disagree with this. First of all. most polls are written to get the response they want, not what people really believe. It also depends on who you poll and where that poll is taken as to the answers you get. I think most people in this country are center right. The progressives you mention are in the minority, but they also make the most noise. With the media acting the way it does and not reporting on most things properly, you get a wrong opinion of what is really going on and how people feel. I have taken a few polls myself and NONE of them have the answer I want to give. Even if I write it in, they just toss mine because I did that. Even if we write our views in the remarks section it means nothing. It is the answers to the question they are interested in. We had polls in the military at different times that had NO answers that anyone wanted to mark, but that was because they were looking for a given response. Same with these opinion polls they hand out. If you ever take one you will see exactly what I mean.
