Are all political chat sites meant to be strictly conservative? Of course not. They are meant for the free exchange of varying viewpoints. I'm not a liberal, but I am a Democrat. I am supportive of social programs that promote health and well being, and the preservation of the environment. I am not supportive of restrictive laws, programs, etc. that don't make sense in the 21st century - examples: I support more restrictive gun control (for the painfully obvious and visible reasons) and the open availability of abortions.

These positions don't make me a liberal - just not a conservative. There is a middle ground and it's huge. Note my nom de plume.

Good post, you made your point. Your non de plume always reminds me of weather reports, Light to moderate winds, rain, snow etc.

yes the republicans specifically the tea party is trying to mug the president and he isn't going to buy it , and the tea party members knew it was a failed cause

Okay, now I'm really confused. It's not the Repubs, it's the tea party. So the tea party is mugging the president by pointing a gun at him, but he won't buy it. Why do they want him to buy the gun? Don't they know he's afraid of guns? He hates them.

I think it would be beneficial if, rather than simply stating your positions on issues, you gave some reasons why.

Hey MORON , the Sequester was an alternative to a shutdown , which again was threatened by TEA BAGS .

Obama hells gift to America. And the sequester was Obamas threat to the republicans if he didn't get his way. He was acting like a two year old and got called on it. Then he acted like a bigger two year old and trued to make America suffer for a supposed injustice of his own making.

You are 100% correct. I am on direct deposit and in order for me to see my pay stub I have to log in and download it which rarely happens.

There are a lot of companies that offer direct deposit and the people get a stub but I am assuming from the people that I have talked to that most don't even look at what is paid in taxes. Most of the people only look at what the amount deposited was and hardly glance at anything else. If they even looked at what is going for taxes it is only a momentary glance and then they continue on with life. To many actually think that the government just gives them money just like the welfare class. I got a refund not realizing the amount was paid by them in the first place. If they physically had to write a check to the federal government every week or every month or at the end of the year especially they would realize what they are paying it and call for it to stop.

You've gotten close to the real issue. The Tea Party isn't mugging the President. The Tea Party is mugging the rank-and-file Republican Party. The GOP is a much more worthy organization than to allow that to happen, but it has happened.

Amazing how indignant Libs get, saying "ObamaCare is the law of the land", yet treat our Constitution like it's written on a cocktail napkin!

Now now people I just think we can get by by not calling people twits.

Can we just agree that what comes out of Washington is less than we deserve as Americans no matter what party they are from.

Lets just say that if there are any twits there sure are a lot in Washington.

Obama stated that if congress sends him a CR that doesn't include funding for ACA, he will veto it. Doing so will shut down the government. But, he's not threatening to shut down government. Interesting logic there.

Also, they're not my own Republican party, I already told you I'm libertarian.

Yea , you're also a " get-it-backwards-ian ". The Republicans are the ones who want to attach DEFUNDING of ACA , threatening to shut down government .
ACA is already law . And any funding is found in the budget .
