No amount of Communism will bring that manufacturing back.

Please tell me what parts I revised. It's all straight out of history, sociology, and economics books. Those of us who graduated from college actually learned this stuff.

No, unions make labor costs too expensive and the Japanese were making cars that people wanted, plus technology that started being used in the late 70s eliminated a lot of jobs. In both Auto and steel production. Really, American car companies owe a debt of gratitude to the Japanese for showing us how to do things better. And this is from a guy whose Dad retired from Ford.

The only way that communism saved America is that it SHOWED US THAT IT DID NOT WORK !! Human nature (the bad side) will ALWAYS be communism's downfall! I happen to agree with member rumitoid for the most part when he/she says that we will never get back all that we have lost to foreign manufacturing, ALTHOUGH I BELIEVE THAT WE SHOULD CONSTANTLY STRIVE TO DO JUST THAT. Unfortunately I believe that our present president Obama IS INTENTIONALLY TRYING TO RUIN AMERICA so that his EXTREMIST ISLAMIC COMPATRIOTS CAN JUST WALTZ RIGHT IN TAKE OVER CONTROL OF THE USA. Well, I just want to say that I will do EVERYTHING THAT I POSSIBLY CAN that it won't happen on my watch!!!
