Today it was reported 95% of income gains over the past three years has gone into the pockets of the1%. That we are in the largest income gap since before the depression.
We have a continuing shrinking middle class, which is the engine that sustains us. Please try and not vent blame, lets us think of resolve.

Vote Democratic! Save SS and medicare and stop the Republicans from taking MORE away from the poor and middleclass and making a bad situation even worse. Badger your representatives to support real financial regulation (currently being whittled away by the Republicans) to keep us from getting into another meltdown, from which the 1% have recovered, but has left many middle class people upside down on their mortgages. Canada has NEVER had a banking meltdown, due to responsible banking regulation, while the US has had many. Stop the republicans from blocking Obamacare, since half the bankruptcies in the US are due to medical bills.

Getting rid of the Federal Reserve will cure 95% of our problems. I know it wont happen until the system craters and that's too bad.

Insane jealousy and class hatred of anybody who is successful in private enterprise.

If they would spend half as much energy on trying to improve themselves as they spend whing about "the rich" they might get some of those riches for themselves.

When did this happen, oh yeah in the last three years so it has to be the republicans fault. No it's Obama's fault and if ObamaCare gets through the middl class will take in on the chin again. Obama and his croud are running scheme that would make Bernie proud. How in hell do you spend 146 billion in Aug, 98 billion in July and add nothing to the nationan debt. If a CEO was running this type of scheme the regulaters would be all over him.

Liberal, spread the wealth, policies begun as early as the Federal Reserve and FDR are the main culprits and they have to be reversed. The free market is the only answer as Bono said, "Capitalism has freed and fed more people then any other system." Obama has printed record amounts of dollars which have literally all gone to the top 1%. This is no different then any other liberal policy over the last 100 years. I knew we were in deep trouble in the nineties when I realized that ALL of the top bankers were Democrats, banking is a highly conservative enterprise, after all 1+1 has always equaled 2 not 17 as people like Bawny Fwank, Dick Turbin, Pelosi, Reid, Obama, Bernanke, etc. would have you believe.

Yup stop those of who have work hard and smart to fund many who haven 't. Just who is this middle class who are being financially tortured?

When my business an resulting earning took off was when I sold and oil and gas company at a reasonable multiple and shared the proceed of the sale with the full range of employees.

I started another one and talked to many of my original employees. The majority thought that they should have n upfront share of the company earnings and assets.

I balked at that and hired all contract employees, paying top dollar for them. Now, if I should sell I still have the entire fruits of my labor and ideas. Many employees, in recent times have an inflated idea of how they actually produce wealth by opportunity for the company. I even have had former employees decide to " take time off to enjoy theit fruit of the sale while either attempting or actually collecting somehow collecting unemployment!

I am getting older and contemplating another sale of either the assets or my company. Will I share proceeds of that sale? Yes, I will but I will not be bound by those who perform tasks. Will it be fair? What is fair when all of the captital was either mine or borrowed on my signature and against my assets. So what should these contract employees get? I gave them about what they got when they were actuall payroll employees; however, the majority of the proceeds of the sale were predicated on growing what I used to start the new operation.

Where did you learn that all of the problems are caused by Republicans and all of the solutions come from the Democrats? Do you really think all of the 1% are Republican? Do you think they are all conservatives? Have you any idea how many of them make their money directly or indirectly from government actions? Are you aware that the highest incomes in America are to those who live in the zip codes around DC?

And is she aware that the vast majority of the employees of the gov't, living in the DC area, are Democrats? It has been my contention for a long time that this is our central problem. Some estimates are as high as 91% of the employees are Democrats and they are also very highly paid, pushing the average incomes in that area to the highest in the world as you've said.

Honey, it is not jealousy! I was lucky enough to get a great education, a good job, and happen to be well off, and in the top 5% myself. I have those riches for myself. I am thinking of others, and of the country as a whole. Depressions happen when the middle class and the poor cannot buy what rich people make. It happens when the divide between the rich and poor increases. We are now in the same territory we were before the great depression in the 30's. That is what I would like to avoid. The very wealthy, and their voicebox at Faux news, have programed to you belive that it is jealousy to want the rich to even a bit more in taxes, no where near the rate they paid in the 60's when the marginal tax rate was 95%. Boy, do they have the country buffaloed! When I see a republican bumper sticker on a beater car, I think, wow, Faux news is amazing. Yeah, there is class warfare, and the rich people have won.

I believe you are a sincere person, however if you want people other than those who are already on the left to take you serious I'd advise you to stop with the Fox News garbage, and well as the meme that only Republicans are rich. If you, however, believe that meme, I'd suggest you not only watch Fox but to also read more diverse publications that you currently must do.

Well, what I think when a rich person votes democratic, is that they are voting AGAINST their own personal advantage and for the country-ie patriotic. When I see a rich person vote republican, I see someone voting for their own personal interest, ie a selfish bastard. When I see a poor person voting republican, I see a stupid idiot. OMG, you think that the lady taking applications at the social security office is the rich, and the reason the income disparity is so high??? The 1%, folks, the 1%, who make more in an hour than the poor paper pusher does in a year. Again, Faux news has accomplished their objective-to make people hate and be jealous of the people one rung higher on the ladder, and not the folks at the top. This reminds me of my favority joke-a worker, a union member and a CEO are at a table with a dozen cookies. The union member and the worker take a cookie, and the CEO takes 10. The CEO tells the worker "Look out, that union member wants YOUR cookie".
