This is a little confusing at the start...

It's at the Top of the post and runs itself, just enjoy... Don D.

I thought you would be interested in this story I found on MSN:

14 Things You Probably Didn't Know About the Pilgrims.

These facts are very interesting with the holiday fast approaching. Terry H.

Thanks for sharing...I knew some of these fun facts, though not all.

This reminds me to be grateful and remember this season those who have less. I hope you all will give to your local food bank or maybe participate in outreach through your churches.

Although I'm not religious myself, I have immense respect for Glide Memorial Church here in San Francisco. At Thanksgiving it feeds 5,000 - 6,000 of the poor and homeless who otherwise would go hungry on Thanksgiving. It reminds me of a quote on a billboard I saw when I moved here 20 years ago, regarding the founder of Glide:

Cecil Williams came to San Francisco and prayed to the Lord to feed and care for the poor and homeless. God said "Cecil, do it yourself."

Talk about faith in action!

I'm from Oakland, I remember some of that...

I give and work with my local AA group...

My groups have changed as I moved around from City to City and Country to Country but for 36 years I've remember who I am... Don D.
