Quiet Time Prayer

A site member sent this to me. Thank you very much oldroy! I have forwarded to several friends on my mailing list; however, felt I would send it out to all of my friends here. Not only is this for my site friends, it is to all who may read it, of faith or not. You are wished only the best in your life.

QUIET TIME PRAYER

There is nothing better than older people praying for you. We're not getting older, just getting closer to home! The instructions are to pick four people you want God to bless. I picked you. Please pass this to at least four people you want to pray for and a copy back to me.

This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's always pray for one another.

The prayer:

Father, Thank You for each and every day You have blessed us here on earth.

Thank You for Your tender mercies.

Thank You for giving us friends and family to share joys and sorrows with. I ask You to bless my friends, relatives, brothers and sisters in Christ and those I care deeply for, who are reading this right now.

Where there is joy, give them continued joy.

Where there is pain or sorrow, give them your peace and mercy.

Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence.

Where there is need, fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

True peace only comes through knowing Jesus as Savior and Lord.

There are those I totally disagree with; however, we must still attempt to understand.

We are passing this on to "our boys" as adopted grandparents we stay in contact with most of them and they appreciate the prayers from us "old fogies" As we get older, SWMBO and I more and more appreciate each day for what it brings, and thank God for the opportunity to enjoy His blessings for another day.

You never know how many your "boys" may pass it on to and so it spreads.
