This is similar to growing orchids. Takes time and patience. No, I never went through the process, but I know that it can be very rewarding when you get a new variety or win as you have done repeatedly. Again, I am so honored and if I can be part of your haram, wow now that is a reward!

I entered 32 different varities at the last annual show this summer, and had 3 of the 8 Queen's table blue ribbon Iris, and the most blue ribbon Iris in the show which won for me the National first place Silver medal for the show for the first time. I also won the best seedling in the show for the 3rd of the last 4 years, which I am prood of as it takes about three years from the time you hybridize, breed, the flowers to get the seeds, and then to grow the seeds into rhizomes which then finally bloom in about two years, before you see what you get from the cross bybridizing. I also like giving rhizomes to my relatives who grow them but don't compete them. And I like to think they add a little to the 1PP site that isn't political. Glad you like them.

National Republican Congressional Commieetee:

"The Democrats' difficult August marched on this week. ObamaCare continued to fall apart at the seams and vulnerable Democrats continued to avoid answering their constituents' questions, all while voters’ headaches over Democrats' failures in Washington continued to grow.

Here at the NRCC, we are working each and every day to stand up for the millions of Americans who deserve better from President Obama and the Democrats, and make sure the voters see just how badly they are letting the country down.

Check out three of this week’s most popular posts, and share them with your friends!

KXJB-TV – Local News Anchor Rips Collin Peterson: “Guess What? You Work For The People”
Democrat Collin Peterson is facing a tough re-election campaign, and he hasn’t been too keen on meeting with his constituents or showing up for interviews. One local TV anchor took to the airwaves to remind Peterson that he works for the people, and needs to “show up.”

Forever 21 Latest Victim of ObamaCare
Forever 21, the clothing retail chain with hundreds of stores across the United States, is getting flattened by the high-speed ObamaCare train wreck. The costly regulations that the Democrats’ health law places on businesses with 50 or more full-time employees has led to a surge in part-time work. For Americans struggling to stay afloat in Obama’s economy, that’s unacceptable – and now, employees of Forever 21 are feeling the full weight of ObamaCare dragging them down.

The Obama Administration Has Missed 41 out of 82 ObamaCare Deadlines
You’ve already heard about some of ObamaCare’s major delays, such as the one year delay of the employer mandate for big business and the delay on out-of-pocket caps. While those are just some of the high-profile delays, however, a report from the Congressional Research Service - which remains unpublished - paints the whole picture on just how much of a train wreck ObamaCare’s implementation is.

You and your family deserve better leadership than the train wreck that is coming out of this White House, yet the Democrats in Congress continue to rubber stamp President Obama’s liberal, big government agenda."

Senate Conservative Fund:

"It was a very bad week for Obamacare.

Delta Airlines said its health costs will rise by $100 million next year;
UPS and UVA are dropping working spouses from health coverage;
The Nevada AFL-CIO said Obamacare will hurt full-time work;
Teen retailer Forever 21 reduced employee hours; and
Young people in Colorado will have to pay more for basic insurance.
Obamacare is unaffordable, unworkable, and it's unfair.

It's why over 500,000 Americans have now signed the official petition to defund Obamacare!

Americans are contacting their representatives and attending town halls. They're telling lawmakers to stop the implementation of Obamacare by refusing to fund it.

This pressure is forcing Republicans in Congress to take a position. Some are responding with excuses as to why they won't stand up to President Obama, but others are choosing to join the fight.

In fact, Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) changed his position this week and pledged to oppose all funding for Obamacare.

NEW RADIO ADS

We still have a lot of work to do to get Senate Republicans to stand together.

That's why we launched targeted radio ads this week calling on five Republican senators to protect us from this liberal train wreck.

In North Carolina, we're exposing Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) for saying that defunding Obamacare was the "dumbest idea" he had ever heard.

In South Carolina, we're exposing Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) for saying that defunding Obamacare was a "bridge too far."

And in Tennessee, Georgia, and Mississippi, we're exposing Senators Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Johnny Isakson (R-GA), and Thad Cochran (R-MS) for their votes to fund Obamacare earlier this year.

Since they refuse to see the light, we're making them feel the heat.

CAN WE WIN? ... YES!

The Republican establishment in Washington wants people to believe we cannot win this fight, but they're wrong.

Obamacare is a very unpopular and Americans don't want it. The only thing that is missing is the political will to stop it.

Harry Reid needs 60 votes in the Senate to fund Obamacare, but he only has 54 Democrats. If Republicans hold strong, we can win."
Hat Tip, National Republican Congressional Committ... (show quote)
If only they really DO stop obama care rather than stalling it until after the elections of 2014 where every dirty trick conceivable for election fraud will be used to assure Democrat control of the house of reps. Do your jobs, both houses of congress, in obedience the to rules laid down for you by the constitution!

My mouth is open, my mind is overwhelmed, this is simply gorgeous! You have a green hand, not just a thumb. I am in AZ, it is hard to grow anything outside because of the heat and you can not grow anything inside because you have to put these sun screens on the windows so you can handle the heat. I want to go home to VA now more than ever. I used to have a beautiful yard with flowers and I so miss the smell first thing in the morning. :thumbup:

Thank you so much for sharing! Simply beautiful!!!!

Both of you make me green with envy! Just think what you can do in a few more years. My HOA gets all upset when we have a weed in our yard, yes just one weed. I keep telling them that we could make the desert green and happy if we all let our weeds grow. It may take a million years, but ya have to start sometime. They do not see the humor, they hand me a fine for $125. Oh well.

I learned long ago, if I let one weed bother me, I'd never get anything done, especially in this yard.

Thanks CrazyHorse! In the front yard, there is nothing but traffic, so we had to find solitude somewhere. I have about 10 years worth of solitude under my fingernails. :D

With another delay in Obamacare and with Congress, White House staff, NSA, and a host of other exempt employees along with unions who are now saying they will not support the program, there may be nothing let to fund until 2016. Obama will be out of office and of course the new administration, which will be republican, will be blamed for the tax hikes and intrusions into our personal life. Perhaps this is part of the plan. History will give a glancing blow at Obamacare and focus on the other terrible things he has done.

Defund the Government to stop Obamacare? Try to stay current idiot, even your fools at FOX know it ain't going to happen.

It is the law for some unfortunates!
