Tribute To A Father

A week ago,my father passed away.My brother, sister and I were expecting the bad news sooner than later,as Dad struggled with Cancer for quite awhile. His death has caused much thought as to what sort of man he was, reflections that I put into the obituary that we will print in the paper.
Succinctly, when I was growing up,Dad,more often than not, worked two jobs to support his family. He didn't have a lot of free time.He would come home and he'd be tired, although he would find some reserve energy at dinnertime-the golden period when we would all share time together.
We always had a grand Summer vacation and memorable weekend jaunts.
Dad led by example rather than lectures, action over words. You do not steal. You do not lie.Respect your elders.I must confess that I was a bit of a disrespectful hellion in my youth, but those important values stuck with me,lodged in my mind. When at long last I arrived at my Age of Reason,I decided that the values my Dad inspired in me were worth enacting.Wise decision,Zeno!
Thusly,Dad has left me a matchless legacy.
Good bye,Dad.The world was a better place because of you. Zeno

Im so sorry for your lose. Losing a good man is hard especially when they are your Father. I know how you feel. I lost mine 5 years ago from cancer also.
Do you have a picture?
Heres my dad showing us all his fancy office techno gadgets when we were kids. He was very proud of his business and worked hard also.

He may have passed on; however, by the example he set for you and you set for others to see, he continues on.

Dear Patty:Thank you for your reply regarding the passage of my dear father.Another thing that he taught me was to not be lazy, and this includes not being lax in responding to wonderful thoughts from thoughtful people.Zeno

Dear Auntie:Thank you for your sentiments.I think that all of us,whether or not we have children, can express positive values during our daily interactions with other people-values we learned, for instance, from a wise Dad.Zeno
