As Debt limit vote moves forward

As I sat here and I listened to that POS McCathy make a stupid statement that 62% of this country wants cuts in discretionary spending in this country. Because the debt is out of control.

Well MAGA folks where the hell was Kevin when Trump
In 4 years raised the debt higher in four years and voted a clean debt limit 4 times. Nothing but crickets back then.

Discretionary spending is mostly poor, middle class, veteran retirement, state subsidies but 72% of the national debt was created by wealthy tax cuts.

But when Kevin was asked he avoided the question and besides when Biden mentioned that in one of there meetings MCCarthy said not a chance of increasing taxes on the upper 1%.

Discretionary spending $1.6 trillion

Cut defense budget MCCarthy non starter Defense budget $785 billion. That close to half the discretionary spending. So what does this idiot MCCarthy want.

I just don’t understand these these MAGA folks.

No these idiots want to cut veterans benefits and healthcare.

Debt limit increase is not a place to discuss the budget. The house run by republicans is the place to cut the budget. They had three budget cuts proposed in legislation and it never made it to the floor for a vote because MCCarthy could not get his caucus 100% on board. He was going to have to rely on democratic votes. God forbid a bipartisan vote, that is a no no with republicans.

Oh here we go more cut and paste and yes it comes with spending cuts but that’s done in the House of Representatives during the annual budget debate. Not a debt limit increase where this country could go into a massive recession, healthcare and veterans benefits could go on hold.not to mention massive unemployment which only increases the debt thru loss of federal revenue.

Now answer this question it’s no secret that Trump raised the debt limit by $7.8 trillion but republicans raised a clean debt limit 4 times under Trump.

Do you realize that during Trump presidency he exceeded the annual budget over 4 years in office by $3.7 trillion the most in American history and he was only in office for 4 years.

Yes cuts have to be made all around but why can’t we ask the wealthy just to pay there fair share since 72% of that debt was created by wealthy tax cuts and IRS loopholes.

Again cut and paste and lack of research

Spoken like a true MAGA just insult. Only because of one reason you lost control of your senses the wealthy tax cuts two phony wars over inflated budgets under Trump
Created the debt, And the infidels on the right want the poor and middle class to pay off there debt.

I wonder what you would say if your neighbor came over with his CC bill and said you have to pay off my debt. And you had no choice

That is EXACTLY what you are doing when you propose any type of government spending; pay up (maybe today, maybe tomorrow) or else!!!!

And very pertinent to that is the fact that trump took over a budget deficit of roughly $500 Billion, and republicans proceeded to destroy that with budget busting tax cuts that were not necessary.

No. I am a cis-gender, educated, retired, male, white, Anglo-Saxon protestant living a supreme life evenly split between Texas and Flo-rita.

The term "infidel" is not reserved for muslims.

So you agree the poor and middle class should pay Trumps $7.9 trillion deficit.

Stop your GD insults and answer the questions. Or come up with how this country got to the $31 trillion debt.

The biggest waste of time ever, is having a serious conversation with a progressive democrat. You represent the pinnacle of aforementioned waste. I’d just a soon shoot you for breathing my petroleum soaked air.

The debt has been accumulating over many years under the control of both democrat and Republican executives and congress.

Some of the excess debt was necessary due to unexpected events. In all cases these deficits should have been covered within a year or two of the catalytic event through immediate reduction in spending.

That has not happened. Now, looking to blame others as either avoidance of a solution or distraction is your tactic.

So how has the infinite Arab-Israeli conflict in search of the moral high ground worked out?

Think about the free cash that will be available when tax money will not have to be used to service debt. Then we could lower taxes so that half the population pays no federal income tax. Oh, wait, we’re about there now. DMF.

Entitlement programs perhaps, dating back nearly 90 years?
