I'm just wondering here as we witness shooting after shooting, what does it take, if it's mental health problems... how do we incorporate that in our safer gun laws, having more guns clearly isn't the answer, having more people carry guns isn't the answer, so I ask you again, what is your resolve?

OK, what law would you pass that you guarantee those bent on violence would follow and you guarantee would stop gun violence?

Don't try and turn this around, I asked you...where is your resolve, blocking new laws is no resolve. It is the right who blocks with no alternatives, except to keep on keeping on, tell me, how's that working for us? From the rest of your party here, all I hear is crickets, what a surprise.

Many have offered some very effective solutions - have you ignored them?

Start with these.

First: commit a crime with a gun and get 5 years in a federal penitentiary, no parole, no time off - and not part of any other criminal incarceration.

Second: commit a violent crime and it is deemed ‘insanity’, off to incarcerated treatment for a minimum of 5 years.

Third: commit any violent crime and mandatory incarceration for the sentence. No parole, no time off.

Your thoughts?

Here is my answer to ” if it's mental health problems... how do we incorporate that in our safer gun law..”.

If you look at the majority of mass shooters, at one time or another, they have had interaction with law enforcement. For example, the Margie Douglas Freeman high school shooting, police had been to the home multiple times. Law enforcement officials have the authority to report such an individual to the NICS. The FBI has the same authority and on past occasions has ignored a potential mass shooter after receiving complaints/issues with the person.

You do notice this person has no response to ideas that are put forth. He can only spew ad hominem attacks against Republicans. He obviously is to blind to notice there are Democrats who understand the laws proposed would be ineffective.

Gun control is one of the greatest Utopian delusions of our time, that we can prevent the most extreme examples of retributive human behavior by making it slightly less convenient.

Exactly who is going out to collect the millions of AR-15 style guns if they were to past such thing? History tells you NJ passed certain laws and their state police were unable to enforce it.

What does it take for people to realize that an apostrophe s ('s) is indicative of a possessive and that republican should be capitalized, as in Republican so this should be written Republicans?
