Okay.
I remember reading old Irish Folklore and before ya threw out the dirty dish water, one was supposed to yell’ huga huga, wiske sala” , which means ‘look out, look out, dirty water’. A warning to the wee ones, ( leprechauns, fairies, who ever).

I love the Celtic folklore...
It's so dark...

Raymond Fiest's "Faerie Tale" or Cecelia Dart-Thorton's "Iron Tree" series (that's not what it's called...It's the first of the series..Can't recall the name at the moment) are both excellent if you're into Celtic folklore

We had a couple of Irish folklore books growing up (being from strong Irish descent (‘strong’ being a redundancy)). I don’t remember much in particular but I remember enough of the general stuff to never trust the ‘fairies’!!!

Agreed...
Although the Unseelie are particularly antagonistic towards mankind, the Seelie are also often dangerous to mortals, albeit oftentimes unintentionally...

I’ll just steer clear of as many of the fairies as I can. I’ve spent an enormous amount of my life wandering in the woods and I’ve seen/sensed things that most folks wouldn’t believe.!

Supposedly being drunk is an effective shield against fairies

I blame cell Phones and A.I. No one bothers to learn much because they can look it up on Google.

Some prefer the ostrich approach, to stick their heads in the sand.
