RCP current polls currently show:

Dems currently have 55 Senate seats and GOP 45 Senate seats
RCP poll predicts GOP picking up 1 Senate seat with 8 tossups - GOP needs 6 to take the Senate. (The NO TOSSUP poll shows GOP picking up 6 and with it the Senate leadership.)

GOP currently has 223 House seats, and Dems have 199 House seats
RCP poll predicts GOP picking up 7 House seats with 17 tossups giving 230 to GOP vs 188 to the Dems.

GOP currenltly has 29 Governorships and Dems have 21.
RCP poll predicts GOP loses 5 seats leaving GOP with 24-18 with 8 tossups (The NO TOSSUP poll shows GOP losing 1 leaving them 28 to 22 for the Dems)

I think the GOP will do better in all areas, because every day from now to election day, Obama continue to be the worst President in modern history.

Obama is too arrogant to change his failed policies.
And I think Obama wants the GOP to take the Senate, so he'll have another person to blame his failures on, and to give him new excuses to make unconstitutional unilateral actions.

I'd be interested to hear predictions from Obama supporters.

I see the GOP doing better in the Senate races than Real Clear Politics predicts, although their poll averages are hard to argue with. The only reason that I say this is because so far this election cycle not a single upstart Tea Party candidate has managed to win a GOP Senate Primary. It seems that the GOP establishment has taken the gloves off when dealing with the Tea Party which in reality is a separate third party and not a wing of the Republican Party's big tent. I don't think that the Tea Party likes the spanking that the GOP is giving them this year and with a 'RINO' hide whip to boot.

It remains to be seen if the Tea Party folks will actually vote for a Republican or if they will persist in electing the same Gang of 55 Socialist Democrat Party Senators that they have helped elect for the last two election cycles. The Tea Party in fact reelected Barrack Obama in November 2012 by either voting for Obama as a protest vote or staying home on election day instead of voting for the GOP candidate for President.

To paraphrase Bob Hope's closing theme song, "Thanks for the memories Tea Party, but from here on out I'm voting for a winning team." (At least for a team that understands how to win elections and that is not shy about winning them)

I think the GOP may just barely make the 51 Senators, but may pick up more house seats than predicted, and possibly break even or pick up a governorship.

Imagine how bad the Democrats would get routed if the GOP wasn't so politically inept.

I would be very happy to have enough Senators to unseat Reid and send him to the back of the room.

The idiot Tea Party had more than enough votes in 2010 to not only send Harry Reid to the back of the room, they had enough votes to seen Harry Reid all the way back to Nevada. And who did the Tea Party nominate to run for US Senator against Harry Reid? Why Old Yan~ee, your boys of Autumn nominated a female Eric Canter. A Tea Party idiot who told the Nevada voters not to call on her when she went to Washington because she had more important things to do besides representing Nevada citizens to the whole Federal Government. Then the Tea Party cries big crocodile tears because the election was supposedly stolen! Stolen my rectum, The Tea Party handed Harry Reid the election on a silver platter the same way that the Tea Party handed Barrack Obama Mitt Romney's head in 2012.

I for one am sick and tired of all the Tea Party tears, sack cloth and ashes bull crap excuses. It is time, in fact it is past time for the GOP to get over their Tea Party phobia and stop handling the Tea Party like inmates in an insane asylum. I for one want to give both Obama and the Tea Party a proper wood shed paddling. More than anything it will help put the country back on track.

If Harry Reid stole the 2010 election Old Yankee person please explain how he failed miserably to steal the Nevada Governorship for his own son, (as in flesh of his own flesh) in 2010? If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then the Tea Party is more dangerous than a bear trap.

To the proggies and Rino's (Republicrats), that is quite true. They hate the TP's with a passion, and rightfully so. The TP wants to eliminate them, and return to the Constitutional Republic as we were founded, something the Elitist Establishment fears to high heaven.

Ignorance is a terrible thing to waste. But the Tea Party seems Hell bound to spread ignorance around wholesale.

That reminds me, tomorrow is my state's primary runoff election. I will take great pride and immense joy voting tomorrow to send the surviving Tea Party candidates and their 5th Column Democrat brethren (like Chris McDaniel who are masquerading as Republicans) back to Never-Never Land.

Grow up Old Gringo.
