I disagree. Biden held his documents for years and apparently no one was aware that he had them or where they were. Trump on the other hand had the documents for only months and it seemed that everyone knew about it especially the fbi doj and the archives. Biden had not cooperated with officials until recently and Trump seemed to have been cooperating with officials and trying to work out an agreement until the fbi raid.

So basically you are saying that Republicans are slightly more honest and fair in their holding of both Trump and Biden accountable for doing wrong.

I am sure this poll was taken before the four different locations were revealed.

Biden has held some classified docs since being a Senator (14 years). Senators are not allowed to take classified docs with them. In fact, most classified docs are required to be read in a SCIF (pronounced skiff) and then the reader in searched when leaving and given back their cell phone.

Both were wrong the only differences is that one there was a search warrant for Trump's actions Because he refused to return them and a POTUS who volunteered to return them and volunteered to have the FBI search his house. 2. A sitting POTUS can't be charged with a crime William Barr the former DOJ of the Trump Administration's own opinion.
So Trump can be charged but Biden can't.
Now Biden can be impeached for this but he will not be removed from office as it takes two thirds of the US Senate to vote for removal from office

Keep Drinking the Kool-Aid. Trump never refused to give back the documents. The FBI said they were secure where he was keeping them but to put another lock on the door which he did.

Besides, he had a good rapport with the archives right off the bat. I think it's a felony to hold classified documents for 14 years which you took home with you when you were a Senator. Jimpack has no clue!!!!!

Birdman I am not saying that Biden is innocents, just that a sitting POTUS can not be charged with a crime as it is the opinion of the DOJ. He can be impeached for this but not charged while in office no more no less perhaps you should get a clue. get your facts straight

What, refused to return them? ALL BUT LIES! The President can take Classified documents and can declassify them as he leaves the WH. All the documents Trump had were declassified before leaving the WH.

These documents were kept in sealed boxes, and kept in a secure and locked location at Mara Lago with a 24 hour Security Service.

In August 2022, the FBI's went to visit Mara Lago and inspected all the documents kept in boxes. FBI's asked the president to lock the room and the room was locked. President Trump invited them to come any time to check the documents but FBI's did not. Instead December 2022, swarms of 40 FBI's with guns and ammunitions surrounded the Mara Lago along with military arsenals as if they were in a war zone.

FBI's entered the locked room and scattered the documents on the floor, then took pictures to accuse Trump of not securing the documents. Another typical move of creating a crime to blame the president.

The FBI's ransacked all parts of the Mara Lago, including all areas they were not allowed to search, a violation of the 4th Amendment Rights of the president and his family. Searching like GESTAPO burglars, the FBI's took hold of the very sensitive and personal lives of First Lady's panties, and other underwear. They also included ransacking the room and personal items of Barron Trump their teen age son.

These FBI'S had left the President and his family deprived of their Constitutional Rights. They acted as if they are in the Hitler's armies.

A DOUBLE STANDARD OF JUSTICE:
About Joe Biden:

Penn Biden Center where classified papers were found is a ‘dark-money nightmare’
By Isabel Vincent

For many years, it appears that Joe Biden had been hoarding classified documents, and hid them in various parts of his homes, including the U of PENN where the PENN Biden Center is located. There were classified documents hidden at the Biden Penn Center. The Biden Penn Center received from China hundreds of millions of dollars thru influence peddling

The Department of Justice tried to minimize the magnitude of Biden's crimes by saying "few numbers of documents. The size of the document is not important but the real National Security Risks involved of even a page is the most important.

Currently there were 6 more batches of classified documents found at his mansion rented by Hunter in Wilmington, Delaware. Most of the documents were kept and hoarded in the GARAGE home at Wilmington. Hunter Biden, along with his clients come and go through the garage where the Classified docs were hoarded by Joe Biden.

Notes: Please note that Garland is not, honest, not reliable and factual. He always try to minimize the crimes of Biden, ignored all their crimes, versus that of President Trump who had the Authority to keep and Declassify documents.

timeline of the discovery and disclosure of classified records tied to Biden
Politics Jan 22, 2023 3:50 PM EST
Key dates related to the discovery of classified documents tied to President Joe Biden, based on statements from the White House, the president, his attorneys, and Attorney General Merrick Garland:

Jan. 20, 2017: Biden’s two terms as vice president to President Barack Obama end.

Mid-2017-2019: Biden periodically uses an office at the Penn Biden Center, a think tank in Washington, D.C.

Jan. 20, 2021: Biden is sworn in as president.

Nov. 2, 2022: Biden’s personal attorneys come across Obama-Biden administration documents in a locked closet while packing files as they prepare to close out Biden’s office in the Penn Biden Center. They notify the National Archives.

Nov. 3, 2022: The National Archives takes possession of the documents.

Nov. 4, 2022: The National Archives informs the Justice Department about the documents.

Nov. 8, 2022: Midterm elections.

November-December 2022: Biden’s lawyers search the president’s homes in Wilmington, Delaware, and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, to see if there are other documents from his vice presidency.

Nov. 9, 2022: The FBI begins an assessment of whether classified information has been mishandled.

Nov. 14, 2022: Garland assigns U.S. attorney John Lausch to look into whether a special counsel should be appointed to investigate the matter.

Dec. 20, 2022: Biden’s personal counsel informs Lausch that a second batch of classified documents has been discovered in the garage at Biden’s Wilmington home. The FBI goes to Biden’s home in Wilmington and secures the documents.

Jan. 5, 2023: Lausch advises Garland he believes that appointing a special counsel is warranted.

Jan. 9, 2023: CBS News, followed by other news organizations, reveals the discovery of the documents at the Penn Biden Center. The White House acknowledges that “a small number” of Obama-Biden administration records, including some with classified markings, were found at the center. It makes no mention of the documents found in Wilmington.

Jan. 10: 2023: Biden for the first time addresses the document issue. During a press conference in Mexico City, he says he was “surprised to learn that there were any documents” in the Penn Biden Center and doesn’t know what’s in them. He does not mention the documents found in Wilmington.

Jan. 11, 2023: Biden’s lawyers complete their search of Biden’s residences, find one additional classified document in the president’s personal library in Wilmington. NBC News and other news organizations reveal a second batch of documents has been found at a location other than the Penn Biden Center.

Jan. 12: 2023: Biden’s lawyer informs Lausch that an additional classified document has been found. Richard Sauber, special counsel to the president, reveals publicly for the first time that documents were found in Biden’s Wilmington garage and one document was found in an adjacent room. Garland announces that he has appointed Robert Hur, a former U.S. attorney in the Trump administration, to serve as special counsel.

Jan. 14: 2023: The White House reveals that Biden’s lawyers found more classified documents at his home than previously known. Sauber said in a statement that a total of six pages of classified documents were found during a search of Biden’s private library. Sauber said Biden’s personal lawyers, who did not have security clearances, stopped their search after finding the first page on Wednesday evening. Sauber found the remaining material Thursday as he was facilitating their retrieval by the Justice Department.

Jan. 19, 2023: A frustrated Biden said there is “no there there” when he was persistently questioned about the discovery of the documents. “We found a handful of documents were filed in the wrong place,” Biden said to reporters who questioned him during a tour of the damage from storms in California. “We immediately turned them over to the Archives and the Justice Department.” Biden said he was “fully cooperating and looking forward to getting this resolved quickly.”

“I think you’re going to find there’s nothing there,” he said. “There’s no there there.”

Jan. 21, 2023: Biden’s attorneys say the FBI searched Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware, and located additional documents with classified markings and also took possession of some of his handwritten notes. The search lasted nearly 13 hours. The FBI took six items that contained documents with classified markings, said Bob Bauer, the president’s personal lawyer. The items spanned Biden’s time in the Senate and the vice presidency, while the notes dated to his time as vice president, he said.

Why did DOJ GARLAND advised Joe Biden to hire personal lawyers, without Security Clearance, instead of using the FBI's.

I think the purpose is to guide and provide Biden legal advice how to avoid or minimize the criminalities of Biden's crimes. And it happened. Lawyers were able to provide this fiduciary client lawyer privileges.

Then later FBI's got involved after Biden got the legal advise from the lawyers without the DOJ getting involved. But the DOJ served as the sources of the legal advice for Biden. The purpose is to protect Biden and avoid conviction of his crimes.

DOJ ADVISED BIDEN TO SUBMIT THE DOCUMENT TO THE ARCHIVES. That's too late. Those documents that stayed with Biden's control were already used for various influence peddling thru Hunter Biden. One of the clients were the CCP's who paid the PENN Center $30 million. And more payments followed on various occasions.

It worst of the fact that Garland wants to minimize the crimes of Biden by justifying that Biden had allowed to move the classified docs to the National Archives.

Those documents had stayed with Biden and Hunter for many years, and have been used as material sources of US National Security information for Biden's influence peddling. Hundreds of millions of money had been earned thru hoarding those documents for years by the Biden. Biden does not need them anymore. They have been used already to amass wealth from foreign countries mostly from CHINA.
