The Clear Link Between Immigration and Crime

Cliff Notes Version:

"An analysis of EU and United Nations crime data by RealClearInvestigations shows that, as in Sweden, the broader crime wave is strongly correlated with immigration."

"Criminal justice experts say that the precision offered by European data may provide guideposts to the United States as it grapples with a host of pathologies ranging from rising violent crime and mass shootings to social disruptions from the coronavirus pandemic. Europe’s experience suggests one avenue of inquiry for policy makers and criminal justice experts is crime directly tied to immigration and drug-trafficking across the porous U.S.-Mexico border."

"Currently, however, crime statistics in the U.S. generally do not allow researchers to make definitive conclusions on how much illegal immigrants may have influenced the rise in violent crime. Because of the political sensitivity of the question, almost no state officials keep track of the immigration status of prisoners in their jails."

"RCI collected homicide data for the European Union from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for 11 years, from 2010 to 2020, and compared it to rising percentages of each country’s foreign-born population. Even after accounting for variations among countries, the data show that each one percentage point increase in immigrant population is associated with a 3.6 percent increase in the homicide rate.

In other words, if you intentionally make an effort to hide or avoid analyzing the data, you can avoid having to publically address the direct link between increased crime tied to increased immigration.

Sure, avoid looking at the evidence so that there’s no conclusion!

Your right, the first three have a right to do what they’re doing, the last is an invader!! Pure and simple!

Unfortunately, both the terms "refugee" and "asylum seeker" are horribly abused these days.. Which is why I lumped them in with illegals...

The article cited attempts to make the case that the sharp increase in the crime rate in Sweden is attributable to the sharp increase in migrants. Here are two specific points that the article raises:

"In 2020, Swedish sociology professor Göran Adamson published a crime study showing an unmistakable link to immigration. It concluded that from 2002 to 2017, 58% of criminal suspects in Sweden were immigrants. That figure rose for murder, attempted murder, and manslaughter, where immigrants were identified as suspects in 73% of the cases, and robberies, in which immigrants were suspects in 70% of the cases.

"These results are consistent with other studies in various European countries showing that immigrants – as a group – commit crime at higher rates than the native-born population,” said Tino Sanandaji of the Institute for Economic and Business History Research in Sweden."

It may not be politically correct to make the claim that the sharp increase in the crime rate in Sweden is due to the large and uncontrolled influx of immigrants into the country, but crime statistics are what they are, unless you have some alternative explanation.

The immigration debate raises a fundamental issue: Are immigrants able to successfully integrate into a host country's society by adopting the economic, social, and cultural norms of native-born citizens of that country? Or are they likely to remain an alien presence inside the country's borders long after they settle here?

By and large, I would agree that historically, properly screened immigrants have assimilated and been a benefit to the host country. However, uncontrolled and un-screened mass migration such as what has occurred in Sweden, and what is being permitted to occur here in the United States is a recipe for disaster.

"Yes"!...There are some "masterminds", acutely intelligent people in prison...

BUT....Most are under educated, come from broken homes, low IQ, Sociopathic....What else do you want?

No excuse for criminal behavior...{ in our Society}...that's what we have laws for...[ unless you are rich, powerful, or a simple minded *demoncrat}!

[ There "ARE"...AFTER ALL "some" legitimate reasons "WHY" they get special treatment? ]

Especially Moslem “refugees/asylum seekers/immigrants of any type. “

They will NEVER assimilate into the typical Christian ‘western type nation.

1) have any of you ever wondered ‘why’ wealthy Moslem nations are not accepting this influx of so-called refugees/immigrants ? This is a caliphates dream ! Get their people into Do-gooder Christian nations, then breed like rabbits- and poof, a majority voting block.
It’s a simple takeover of a country without firing a shot.
2) their Quran allows Moslems to lie, under oath, in infidel’s courts and any other circumstances. Let’s recall the Army major, a Moslem at Ft Hood, Texas shooting up unarmed soldiers. Duh. He took an oath !!
3) we must ban any Moslem from entering this country. No exceptions. They are all a Trojan horse.
4) any lefties feel sorry for them? Watch the DoD films of this “peaceful religion (sic) as they SAW the heads off soldiers and journalists !
Not a nice sharp sword - a saw.
5) these are the same godforsaken scum that shoot at Americans while:
Hiding behind women
Hiding behind children
Hiding in schools
Hiding in hospital
They are the most cowardly excuse for mankind on this plant !

Let’s not forget the random explosives designed to maim or kill unarmed civilians.
Pack them into Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, …. And all the ‘Stan countries ( Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan etc etc).
Ban them entry into all Western nations.

An ideal solution would be to round up all illegals, send them to Delaware, then give Delaware to Venezuela. The voters of Delaware have inflicted Joe Biden on the United States for fifty years and they should suffer for it.

Rounding up illegals sounds almost fun...
