Most , gladly pay it.
You would be the one who refuses.
As for the wonderful Labor Unions who have increased your wages by tiddlywinks over the past century, compared to the rip-off of endless currency devaluation by our Marxist Federal Reserve Bank, I am suspicious that their real motive is advancing world communism at your expense. Have you ever heard of any labor leader demanding an audit of the Federal Reserve Bank with its bailouts or international corporations, dictators and double standards?
The Fed has financed the Bolshevik Revolution, the rise of Hitler, Detente with the Soviet Union and Red China, bailouts of the European Union ($16 trillion in 2009 ), and the 800 banks that crashed in the WTC on 9/11 whose $400 billion dollars were mysteriously electronically transferred to the Bank of New York to Russian Mafia depositors. [look it up on wikispooks "Collateral Damage 9/11" by E.P. Heidner]
Our purchasing power of the Dollar since the Fed's inception in 1913 is now 3 Cents. That's your wages, sweetie. None dare call it counterfeit. Why aren't your labor leaders demanding an AUDIT of this Marxist counterfeiting government central banking system instead of blaming the big bad corporations for greed?
These government central banks devalue the currency so much that the poor can never work their way out of poverty, no matter how many puny raises the unions give you. The Fed outstrips your union raises every time.
Let's look at the labor leaders sleeping with the enemy getting corporate kickbacks and the Office of Labor Management Standards (OLMS) arrests of labor leaders for embezzling billions of dollars from your rank-and-file pension funds. This is a horrific track record since 2006 after the arrest of 800 labor leaders for embezzling from their members. Look up the OLMS records on the Internet or subscribe to the NRTW Newsletters. It is still going on today.
From the National Right to Work Committee November 22, 2022:
"Dear CR:
"As the Biden Administration works overtime to fill Big Labor's coffers by expanding the number of workers forced to pay union dues one might ask: Where does all that money go?
All too often history shows union bosses pilfer it to fund their limousine lifestyle.
For example, in 2021 disgraced United Auto Workers President Gary Jones was sentenced to 28 months in prison for embezzling $1.5 million.
He spent that on custom-made golf clubs, golf, top-shelf liquor and cigars, and months-long vacations.
And Jones was hardly the only UAW boss caught with his hand in the till.
Dennis Williams, Jones' predecessor atop the UAW, was sentenced to 21 months in prison for embezzling a million dollars.
In all, federal prosecutors documented $34 million stolen since 2009, some of which came from federal bailout money, with seven other UAW bosses convicted of corruption.
Following that scandal, The Detroit News combed through U.S. Department of Labor records asking: How common is this?
They found over 300 separate incidents of theft and fraud by union officials nationwide in 2016 and 2017.But the union bosses who are caught are just the tip of the iceberg.
Whether it's pilfering pension funds to pay for alcohol and golf junkets or straight-up theft, all these union officials get a free ride on their members' backs.
That's because most of these workers face an awful choice: Pay up or be fired.
As journalist and labor policy expert Carl Horowitz put it, "Union corruption occurs most frequently, and involves greater sums of money, in states without a Right to Work law."
The fact is, Right to Work is not only good for the economy: It also empowers workers to hold accountable union officials who are corrupt, irresponsive, or just plain ineffective."Nobody in their right mind, such as 80% of the working public, is going to join a labor union with a track record like that?
The only way to rid the unions from crooked labor leaders is to pass the National Right to Work Act and make membership voluntary, thus returning financial control to the rank and file. YOU want control over the purse strings! There are many union members who have joined the National Right to Work Committee. Seriously, I kid you not.
