Just very curious about the reasons that move people to act. I'm retired military, have MAED, traveled extensively, a parent, grandparent. I have this perpetual desire to understand the why and what motivates people choices in more than just politics.

Most of the people on this site have right to far right leanings. It was originally founded to have a forum for stuff that isn't always covered by major news outlets, but very far right wing articles are posted here every day.

There are 3 concerns that effect every one of us..food,shelter, and safety. Those are basic needs we all need above all else. Social justice does not rate above those things. The trouble with politic now a days in my opinion is social issues have taken precedence over the main issues of our basic needs. Our government should be focused on the first 3 and back off the latter a little.

Food, shelter and safety are social issues! If one does not have the basics plus medical access, the government can not exist. We need a more direct approach to govern. Like no riders on bills that have nothing to do with the issue being addressed by the senate or congress. A better accounting of the true cost of running the government. And a factual accounting of campaign funds and donations. The removal of lobbyists from influencing politicians and having access to government policy. They could address issues to the whole cabinet then leave, without grooming their favor. Just some thoughts.
