Definition of the word Evacuation

According to the Department of State it is more like ordered removal than evacuation. I heard one of the female spokespersons for the Department telling news people that they didn't mean evacuation, only ordered removal. The woman had obviously worked there while Hillary was still there. She was very good at lying with a smile on her face and refused to let those reporters call what they did today, evacuation.

I guess Jon Carry should have been the head of the State Department in 2001 since he manages these explanations so fine. He was worthless as a Senator and about as bad today as the Secretary of State.

"Evacuation" or "removal" from what and why? What's the point?

Maybe I need to apologize for not saying all that needed saying. Today nearly all the employees of the State Department in Yemen were flown out of there and that woman talking about them having to leave didn't want people thinking it was evacuation. Again, Yemen and the evacuation today.

The woman said that they had kept enough people to keep the thing running and that told me that they must have a whale of a number of people there since they took out nearly 60 people.

I can see a difference in the terms that has nothing to do with politics, but see no need to quibble as they did. "Evacuation" suggests an imminent or engaged threat, such as with being in the direct path of a tornado or a river about to flood. "Removal" seems to downsize what was happening, making it just precautionary without a direct threat. They're gone, is the point, for safety concerns.

Here we go again having to explain to rumitoid that evacuation could be interpreted as retreat. Again showing weakness on the part of America. I assume as a liberal you have no problem with retreating but I on the other hand do. Had Bill Clinton not retreated so many times during his tenure I personally do not believe we would have had 9/11. Now do you understand the politics!!!

There is some famous quote about "living to fight another day." And another about "picking our fights." Washington retreated numerous times and had he not, America would have been lost. Retreats can be strategic. There is a bomb threat at a school: the patriot principal says, "Our kids will not retreat from any threats, foreign or domestic"...and they all get blown up. I know: it's the Principle. Just as bravery can be confused with stupidity, so can wisdom be confused with cowardice.

Washington was a small fish in a big pond going up against a then World Power in the British. If we gather anything from what you said then we, America, as the world power today do not allow the Muslims to live to fight another day. Plus the fact Obama does not have a strategy for anything and certainly void of wisdom. Not saying he is not smart but wisdom, No Nata, None. Go community organizer. It's a joke to the World.

I couldn't agree with you more. The fraud-in-chief is a coward. He makes us look weak and I for one am disgusted. All he does is duck and cover. All he does is give speeches. All he does is blame everyone else. Is it any wonder our country is in the trouble it is. The phrase Teflon Don has a whole new meaning. What I would like to know who exactly is it making decisions? Now theres a buzz about Valerie Jarrett giving the order to stand down in Benghazi. Was this Iranian elected? It is against the law (which has no meaning in this administration) for anyone other then the commander in chief to give such an order. Wheres the media on this? The cowards in the media are also to blame.

I do believe Valerie Jarrett is as EVIL as they come. She's Iranian. Why do you think when they had the Green Revolution the fraud-in-chief said and did nothing. Soros does play a roll in the destruction of our currency but I don't believe he did this.

Why don't you tell us something about that scandal at Benghazi? I think that Obama wants only to keep another Benghazi from happening and certainly see pure retreat in this game. Of course, Jon Carry may have suggested this line of action to the Leader.

The Glorious Leader had to take his main advisor, Jarrett, to Europe when he made his failed plea to get the Olympics in Chicago. I don't think, at all, that that was done just because she is such good friends with the Obamas. Soros is surely there somewhere and she does work for him.

Sorry love but Kerry? Lurch is an idiot. The Middle East is a mess yet this clown is focused on Palestine. The fraud-in-chief is on Leno still talking about releasing terrorists in Guantonemo back to Yemen while he is droning Yemen. Is there anyone out there who can follow this logic? I guess we have to be blown up before people will wake up. Then I wonder who the left will blame then.
