The dystopian future described by the Sci-fi writers of the 1930's and 1940's is moving toward us at an alarming rate. Did the Canadian leader freeze the bank accounts of truckers he disagreed with? Are people being censored by facebook, twitter, and google? Is the world better than it was 40 years ago? Is a tittle of perceived safety worth the loss of each iota of freedom? As Marley said, "I wear the chains I forged in life."

As much as I hate the stuff I have begun investing in Bitcoin and precious metals. My favorite is lead in the form of bullets. Even the Bible talks about runaway inflation towards end times. Looks like the Good Book was correct again.

I think Bitcoin will be as easy for government to control as bank accounts are. Precious metals can be hidden.

I agree. However; I believe there will be a window of opportunity.

Bitcoin like the stock market will be crashed to be fully replaced by centralized digital currency built on Totalitarian Block Chain technology.
Have you heard the world's largest vaults are running out of Silver? Silver has been and still is being manipulated to low values, as is gold. Traders have sold 5 times ++ more silver than sits in the vaults. When calls come to redeem Silver sold by traders, the value per ounce will exceed $2,000.
Look up, London vaults running out of Silver.... the largest depositor on earth.

Trade in silver or gold certificates seems to me to be a scam to fleece investors. The winners are the ones selling the stock. Getting burned once in silver trading I learned to avoid those certificate sellers. Now I only buy from pawn shops but that too might be risky as I don't really know whether the coins are counterfeit.
Poe wrote a story about people like you. He called the tale, 'The Masque of the Red Death'.

Here is one of the better places.
Instead of coins, consider bars. Thet also have bars that break off into smaller pieces to use for smaller purchases or barter.

Thank you. Bars that break or smaller denominations seem like a good idea as having only large coins means overpaying.
We have been collecting silver bars for years.

Then your way ahead.
I believe the greater population does not want to believe what dark storms, darkest in history are speeding our way.

We also have a lot of brass. With copper coated lead inserted into it. 😅

I agree about certificates, I only accept what I can hold in my hand and then I'm still leery.
