God's Covenant with Noah and All of Creation is Under Attack

"The fields are white for harvest."

After the flood, God re-established His relationship with humanity, transferring to Noah all the original callings, obligations, and privileges He had given to Adam, guaranteeing God's commitment to creation, and in particular, the preservation of life upon the earth.

Noah is the connecting link between the world that then was, which being overflowed with water perished, and the earth which now is, of which we are a part, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

God promises in covenant form (a contract, a pact or an agreement between two or more parties) that he will never again judge the world by flooding the entire earth with water. This covenant does not establish salvation; it is, rather, an unconditional, common grace covenant guaranteeing there will be time and opportunity for God's offer of salvation to mankind.

The covenant with Noah and with all of creation, has a sign. That sign is the rainbow (Genesis 9:11–13).

The Noahic covenant is a one-sided covenant in that it is God alone who initiated it, who established it, who will perform it, and who designated the covenant sign. This covenant with Noah differs from all other biblical covenants, is that it includes the whole earth (Genesis 9:13) and every living creature (Genesis 9:10, 12, 15, 16).

When the rainbow appears, it is a picture of the warrior's bow at rest. God, who had drawn His bow and His arrow of judgment, against the entire world, has now set it aside for a time in order that salvation may be accomplished.

Included in this covenant was the stipulation that Noah was to build the ark and God would bring in two of every kind of animal to keep them alive. (One can only wonder why Noah didn’t swat those two flies and two mosquitos when he had the opportunity!)

After the flood was completed and Noah and his family left the ark, Noah offered a burnt offering to the Lord, and God promised to never again destroy every living thing by flood (Genesis 8:20–2).

The ark into which Noah entered is a precursor to Christ:

The Ark was a gracious act of God saving Noah and his family, as is Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross saving all who trust in Him.
Those who were in the ark were saved from the wrath of God, as are those in Christ also saved from the wrath of God.
There was one door into the ark (Gen. 6:16), as is Jesus the one door to salvation (John 10:9).
Those who entered into the door of the ark were saved, as are those who enter through Christ saved (John 10:9)
The flood was an unexpected judgment upon the wicked. So too, the return of Christ to rapture His church will be unexpected.

God had destroyed the earth with a flood because “every intent of the thoughts of man’s heart was only evil continually” (Genesis 6:5).
God promised never to destroy the earth with a flood again although “the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth” (Genesis 8:21).

Genesis nine (v. 1-7) begins with basic instructions for Noah and his family as they exit the ark.

(1) Be fruitful and multiply. God wants man to procreate and to populate the earth, and to subdue and be good stewards over it - that the love of God may grow and that the glory of God may increase.

(2) Replenish the earth. As Noah departs the ark, he is to take care of the planet. He is to plant crops and vineyards. He is to engage in the cycles of seed time and harvest.

(3) Rule over the animal kingdom. Noah is instructed to rule over the animals of the earth. The animals are created for man’s benefit, to provide oxen to plow, in order that agricultural plants may grow, and for clothing, and other necessities.

(4) “Every moving thing that liveth shall be food for you; even as the green herb I have given you all things.” Man is now allowed to slay the animals in order to feed himself.

(5) "Do not shed the blood of man." All men are created in the image of God. We are to protect human life from both man and beast.

(6) Man is made responsible to protect the sanctity of human life even to capital punishment of those who shed man's blood.

(7) Man is given the power to institute orderly and lawful human government to administer judgement throughout the earth (Romans 13).

The Noahic Covenant was initiated and dictated by God. The sovereignty of God is clearly seen in this covenant. While some ancient covenants were the result of negotiation, this one was not. God initiated the covenant as an outward expression of His purpose revealed in Genesis 3:20-22.

Everything God instituted through Noah is now under attack by godless humanity... beginning with the rainbow, God's beautiful reminder to man of His promise.

Those who have chosen to practice sexual perversion, which God calls an abomination, have claimed the rainbow as the public symbol of their sin.

By turning to homosexuality and lesbianism, humanity has negated the possibility of a fruitful marriage, which God commanded, turning instead to a culture of death, rather than life.

Defying God's admonition to be fruitful, government's have legalized the wholesale murder of millions of their own unborn, selling their tiny bodies for research and experimentation, and even for use as collagen in cosmetics and shampoos in a multi-million dollar business.

God in His providence, knew we would need a diet of the flesh of animals in the tougher environment of extremes of heat and cold in a post-flood world. The animals God gave us as food are now being intentionally reduced in great numbers, as plants lacking the vital proteins and nutrients are being substituted. This is a rejection of God's provision as man futilely attempts to create his own righteousness through vegetarianism and veganism.

As the policemen of the world's governments, the preservers of God's ordained law and order, are reduced in numbers and forbidden to function in society, all crimes and violence are wildly escalating.

Mankind has increasingly rejected the death penalty of murderers which God commanded, as again, they attempt to substitute their own self-righteousness.

By substituting solar panels and windmills for the bountiful worldwide supply of coal, natural gas and oil, God created beneath the earth in the upheaval of the earth's surface during the flood, again, man is rejecting what God has provided, and unless God intervenes, mankind, in his infinite stupidity, will surely perish in the bitter cold of winters to come.

Spiritually blinded, wealthy powerful men are carrying out their plans - as they revile, deny and rebel against the God who created them, and the civilization of man, as foretold for these Last Days, is rapidly crumbling into chaos.

Jesus said, "Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest " (John 4:35).

Even so, Come, Lord Jesus.

Maranatha!

You're always a blessing and a breath of fresh air. Glad to know your still kicking. Hope all your critters have returned to entertain you and make you smile. Your new doctor must be taking good care of you. Every day I wake up I set a new record in my gene pool for the last four generations. I think I owe it to my mom's genes and God's grace. Hope the family is doing great and bringing you lots of joy and very few problems to worry about. Still keeping you and yours in my prayers.

God is in control, and everything will work out according to His will. Things look dark, but things work out to suit Him, not us. He has the whole world in His hands. Worry as much as you like but only God and prayers change things. The only thing we can do is send Him our requests. He'll answer when the timing is right. And that usually happens when it's the darkest. The Egyptian army behind us and the Red sea in front of us and no escape. It's how he likes to test us. So no one else can claim His glory. He's always right on time. He also appoints and removes rulers. No doubt in my mind God sent Trump for such a time as this. I'm not worried about anything. It seldom does any good. Just irritates those around you. I'd rather be the irritator than the irritated.

Trust and obey, for there's no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. Easier said than done I know. But it always seems to work. Do what you can do and leave the rest up to Him. Nothing surprises Him. And He sees everyone and everything at all times. Even Satan and his posse. I've heard from some people who say Satan has been removed from our planet. I have no way of knowing if that is true or false. I just keep trusting God regardless. The more I trust and obey the easier my life becomes. When I try to control my surroundings things start crashing around me. For being His child, I sure do get spanked a lot. But it also lets me know He still loves me. And that is always a warm fuzzy to me. Nothing feels better.

Women worry more than men most of the time. Women deliver life and men usually are called on to take it. And that's the main difference between the sexes. Most of you can't do our job and we sure can't do yours. But together we're awesome. If we both pull in the same direction. Oh, and men like to give advice.

So, I'll shut up and go away. Until next time my friend. You already have the answers you need. In your books and inside of you where God lives. Because He is everywhere at all times.

Hi Peewee,

You're more upbeat than I, you have a purpose for being here - as have we all in the body of Christ. We can speak out against evil, and proclaim God's gospel of Salvation, His words of reconciliation and eternal life.

"Trust and obey" is a lovely (180 year old) hymn. Here's an authentically old fashioned country church version of it, as it sounded in the 1950s... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KB4KcleYiWM

I believe the animals are sometimes wiser than their human counterparts. I've seen fewer of them than in previous years, including those that are winged. They are keeping their heads low this summer, as if they sense the approaching evil threatening to encompass this land.

Yes, those of us in Jesus are eternally spiritually secure, but we're surrounded by a lost and dying world of people who are blinded by visions of pink lollipops and purple unicorns dancing before their eyes... thinking to create a man made utopia built on sin, lust and greed.

They are futilely fighting what they perceive as a "climate emergency" when only God can control the weather. This country has successfully done more to clean up the pollution in our air, soil, and waterways, than any country on earth, but "excess carbon" is now about to be used as an excuse to tax into poverty every man, woman and child, in order that the citizens of this country be brought down to the same subservient level in which the thousands of illegals will be maintained...

Those poor lost souls who perceive themselves as the elite, but lack the God-given foresight to see their reign will be short lived, and their eternity without Christ one of permanent torture and anguish, are in the process of losing any regard they have for humanity. To them, all of "lesser" mankind is now "unsustainable."

God is bringing millions of the unsaved into this land as illegals, - from all the hellish countries where they have been deprived of hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our "prosperity" spouting churches need to return to their first love so they may fulfill the Great Commission which Christ ordered us to share with the world... while their is time.

"Later, as they were eating, Jesus appeared to the Eleven and rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.
And He said to them,
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

(Mark 16:14-16)
