Mike Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow and a staunch Trump supporter, is enraged that Walmart has “canceled” his company’s products by removing them off store shelves.
During multiple appearances on right-wing talk shows on Wednesday and Thursday, Lindell lobbed the charges against the retail giant.
Walmart’s decision to no longer carry MyPillow products in its thousands of stores is the latest blowback for the combative CEO who continued to post on social media and as fervently pushed Trump’s claim that the 2020 presidential election saw rampant fraud.
Lindell claimed that a Walmart executive informed him via video chat that the business would no longer be carrying his bedding products due to low customer satisfaction in speaking on political strategist Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast,
The pillow tycoon said that the MyPillow products, which range in price from $27.99 to $55.88, were now rated below 4 stars.
“You do realize bots and trolls attack all the time,” Lindell recalled telling the executive.
However, despite his explanation, Walmart proceeded to remove the items. “While we no longer carry them in stores, MyPillow items continue to be available on Walmart.com,” Walmart said in an emailed statement to Newsweek.
“You guys are just canceling us,” Lindell told Walmart executives, according to The Daily Beast.
You should go in there (Walmart) and see the pillows that are made in China, and all their pillows are made overseas,” he told the news website. That's true! I have yet to see anything in Walmart that was made in the USA!
Wal-Mart is the most recent retailer to cut ties with Lindel. Costco, Bed Bath & Beyond, QVC, JC Penney, and Wayfair all dropped My Pillow’s product in April 2021, according to Lindel multiple companies drops his products last year because of his continued support for Trump. I've stopped shopping at Costco, never shopped at QVC or Bed, Bath & Beyond, seldom shop at Penney's, and only buy certain inexpensive things from Walmart.
Lindell has been one of Trump’s most outspoken supporters and continues to be deeply involved in pushing forward the claims of former President Donald Trump that the 2020 election is rigged.
