Relax Karen. He's not going to be convicted of a crime. Hopefully he'll be damaged enough that he won't run and someone who profess's most of his policies that is much more electable will take his place. Careful what you wish for. While the idiot progressives are Trump this, Trump that, your party is imploding. Thank god.

Both of the Republicans (the other was Kitzinger) were 'outspoken critics' of Trump.

All of them are! Schiff being the worst one of them all since he made up a phone conversation that Trump never had and presented it to a congressional hearing!! Although Nazi Pelosi, the one who chose every committee member, came close when she tore up President Trump's State of the Union speech....

I'll be able to take care of my own. I've seen good times I've seen hard times and always I have gotten through it. Don't expect things to change.. People are strange these days. Yesterday morning a 34 year old woman was murdered with a shotgun while she was walking down the street about a mile from my place. My good friend has a disabled by PTSD vet holed up in one of his rental houses-refusing to pay rent and meanwhile thrashing the place. The guy is throwing tools and furniture out in the street--has been for weeks and has been the subject of numerous visits from the Sheriffs department. The guy is also heavily armed and my friend has to go through about 14 months of legal proceedings to get rid of him. People never used to act up like that. Even small places are not immune to the nut jobs who are overpopulating. Stay safe Archie I know the mailman can be a target if the tax return or welfare check doesn't come.

I have never understood the logic about that issue with renters. They do not pay rent, out they go. I am not opposed to a ‘grace period’ - two weeks tops - but after that, out they go.

After listening to the Jan 6 Committee, it looks like Donald Trump is going on a long vacation at federal expense. The evidence against him is more than compelling, it is overwhelming. There are some questions that still need to be answered. What politicians requested pardons. Nobody requests a pardon unless they did something criminal.
The only way Trump and his cronies can avoid prison is if the DOJ believes that putting Trump in prison is dangerous because it may be a dangerous precedent whereby a POTUS can be tried by political enemies. I think a more dangerous precedent would be not to prosecute a President for committing a crime. It would be seen as one kind of justice for ordinary citizens and another kind of justice for the wealthy and well connected.

It isn't working that way here--Renters have more rights than the landlords. I owned a rental for about 7 years. I only had one good renter--a coast gaurdsman the rest were bad news.. I was glad to sell it.

Slow motion and moving along. People are discouraged. Our Senate and Congress are useless. Time will tell were we wind up. We keep going backwards--

You're right Tom. Seems the whole world has gone crazy!!
And, I've only had one bad experience with the stimulus check stuff as a mail carrier, and it scared me spitless. Helping another station in a rough part of town late in the day. It was a clusterbox on the curb near a set of apartments that didn't look fit for human habitation. I unlocked it, and started doing my thing, and next thing I know, I have nine people in my face wanting their checks. Some militant about it. I just tossed a couple of letters in, locked the box up, got in my truck, and left. I took the rest of the mail for that box back to the station.
Now, I don't have to deal with that. I have a great route where I'm taken care of. Yesterday was 105 here, and I came home water logged, and with two more bottles than I left home with.
I haven't given up hope on humanity yet!

I have found that 99% of all people are good. But that 1% seems to be around. I'm glad people are treating you good on the route you are on now.

You're right about the 1%!
I have a guy on my route who is as left wing as they get. I see it with his mail, and the stickers on his car. He's an old hippie, in my opinion, but a cool ole guy.
I think 99% of our disagreements are fueled by politicians, and media.
I see a lot of people every day, and have yet to meet an asshole like I see on OPP.
