My wifes' cancer treatment
May 12, 2022 11:53:15   #
Coos Bay Tom Loc: coos bay oregon

Her oncologist told hr yesterday she had a 9.6 centimeter tumor removed-- That is almost 5 inches. Since she has only one kidney now she can't have chemotherapy. She was given two options----a check every 6 months with surgery to remove any new tumors or a new treatment called immune therapy.-- They are putting a port in her chest the 18th of May and she goes in for an infusion every 3 weeks after that. On an unrelated note-- I am finally getting carpal tunnel surgery. The first week of June I go in and get the left wrist done. I have the top hand specialist in the state. A woman -Doctor Clawson-lol appropriate for a hand doctor. Three weeks later I'll get the right done.. Looks like I'll be one arming it with cooking and cleaning for a while. Wife is still pretty weak.

Had mine at the same time. If she can do them arthroscopic then it’s a piece of cake. When she cuts you, it’ll be a little harder, but you will be fine.
Praying for you and your wife.

Thanks very much-- I wanted both done at the same time but I have to take care of the family. My carpal surgery is going to be a half inch slit so I guess that is arthroscopic.

Yes you’ll get a photo of the tunnels and you won’t be able to tell what it is 😁

My wifes name is Betty. Thanks for caring. I know you are a good person. I might have my own ideas on things but I want you to know I don't consider you to be a radical by any means--for what it's worth.

Usually a label is in the eye of the beholder.

This political divide in our country sometimes consumes us all and because we don't literally see each other and don't really discuss other topics much we forget that we are each alot more than our political leanings. Theres a whole person with many different views on things that are what's important. We need to remind each other of that and try to respect and debate this sensitive topic and keep that fact in mind. I'm guilty of getting carried away at times too. So thanks for telling me her name so I can pray for you both.

Thanks for saying that. I have served on a board for 15 years now with folks politically opposite from myself. We have not let that influence our decision making and we back each other up. We are successful because of that.
