Good morning, Marty.
Jesus told us to occupy until He returns. (Luke 19:13)
The word occupy in this context is a military term. In Jesus' day the term was also used for an occupation, the exchanging of goods and services to see an increase. When Jesus gave us gifts and told us to "occupy", the responsibility is two-fold, just as the word “occupy” has a meaning that is two-fold. First, it is meant to protect that which has been committed unto him. Paul tells us that a man of God is to be looked upon as a protector of the mysteries of God, which is any Scriptural truth revealed by God to man, as He gradually unveiled His plan to man in succeeding generations.
The man of God is to protect the revelation that God has given, His word for all mankind. He is to do this in anyway possible. He does it by imparting this truth through preaching and by defending this truth from errors taught by false preachers. It is a defensive posture. It is “earnestly contending for” the things of God. He was telling us to remain occupied ~ to remain busy serving Him.
He expects us to be about His work, using the spiritual gifts He's given us, for His glory. It also means to hold possession, or control of territory, it is called occupation. If we depart early, or remain quiet, evil will swoop in now, just as it will following the rapture.
The days are growing more evil every year as the enemy prepares the way for the Antichrist to appear. Do not neglect putting on His armor each day. Keep it on. Wear all of it. Keep in mind that it is His armor. Use that armor, and your prayers of faith, to the best of your ability, and through the strength that God provides, to protect your family, your home, your ministry, your community and your country, as you seek to win those who are lost while there is still light.
For His current day "little flock," which is the ekklesia/congregation/His called-out-ones/the body of Christ - to effectively “occupy” until Jesus comes, requires us to see ourselves as His... as taking our sacred place in His remnant Church to continue God’s assignment until He determines it is complete.
Our weapons are: righteousness, love, patience, prayer and faith. We should stay on the offense knowing that we’re not fighting a battle of flesh and blood. Our battle is a spiritual one - fought with spiritual weapons.
We are not to simply endure. We are to be salt and light to the world; We are to teach and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ wherever we go and in every situation.
In Ephesians 6:13-17 we are told to arm ourselves: "Therefore take up
the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with
truth, having put on the breastplate of
righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of
the gospel of peace;
above all, taking the shield of
faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
And take the helmet of
salvation, and the sword of the
Spirit, which is
the word of God."

I just made that up. Silly?!
Anyway, I think that most of us, the conservatives, like to trigger the liberals, with comments about soros and Hillary and their ilk, because it’s contrary to our belief in the truth.
And also, it’s so much fun to see them stomping their feet and gnashing their teeth.
Our government is supposed to be prayed for and followed because they only do what’s good for us. We see that this is not happening.
Therefore, if you have that type of government, and God is in charge, then what’s up?
I personally think it’s because God’s setting up the end times.
This dance with the devil is almost over. We as a country have to be diminished in order for the globalists to gain control. Until Biden’s rule, the USA has never taken a back seat before, with 2 exceptions. Carter and Obama.
The new norm is unsettling to Christians everywhere. At least it should be. We’re told to carry the gospel out and make disciples.
Closing our church doors was the first step. Allowing the government to be worshipped is the second step.
There’s a happy ending, however, we will be heading to God and the rest will be heading to “NOT God”.
I can’t wait!
Did this resonate with you?
Or did it sound wrong?
