Manchin as well as Sinema have constantly been corrected as to the misinformation they have blathered on about the role the filibuster plays in democracy, Manchin quoting it as a founding principle which it is not, in fact the founding fathers were decidedly against anything but a simple majority...in fact I believe it was Hamilton that wrote about 2/3rds majority rules degrading democracies into minority rule.

Regardless of how Manchin is corrected he acts as if he never heard the facts and reality, which is by definition lying.

Biden, Schumer both were defending Filibuster when it was convenient for them, when they were in minority.... Why are you surprised that Republicans and some Democrats are doing the same thing???? πŸ™„πŸ™„

Democrats used the filibuster over 230 times when Trump was in office. Apparently it wasn't so bad then.

Sideman and Manchin are both doing what their constituents want.

So 48 senators are willing to push through voting rules that help people commit fraud and are clearly unconstitutional. I'm not surprised that you are in support of that.

Woody, you are a hypocrite. You are working on the idea that 51 have a right to rule with an iron hand and change our country at will to a far right ideology and rules to support that. But it is in fact 52 to 48 in favor of the filibuster rule and apparently democracy rules and you are having a hissy fit over it. The filibuster is there to protect minorities from outrageous political rule changes and law making by a bare minority and is a good thing. Many of the very people raging for changing the filibuster rule were raging in support for the filibuster rule in the past.

The filibuster results from the Senate rules so it has been around as long as the rules have been. Manchin characterizing it as a founding principle is not incorrect.

Manchin as well as Sinema have constantly been cor... (show quote)

"It has been observed that a pure democracy if it were practicable would be the most perfect government. Experience has proved that no position is more false than this. The ancient democracies in which the people themselves deliberated never possessed one good feature of government. Their very character was tyranny; their figure deformity."
What Hamilton ACTUALLY said about Democracy

Manchineel needs the speech delivered by Robert Deniro in Goodfellas.
The baseball analogy about when you step up to the plate , it’s a time for personal best, but not only personal best. When you are part of a team your personal best should also benefit your team , not only you.

Yep... The American Team. I can think of 48 democrats that could take a lesson from Machin and Sinema on whats best for all Americans rather than just their party.

So, you favor minority rule over the will of the people ?
How does that benefit you ?
What lesson were you talking about.?

Minority rule? Hardley. A committed majority can work around it, or they can compromise. It is the only way to guarantee that the minority cannot be completely ignored.

You guys are going to love it again after the midterms.

The majority has ruled, 52 to 48, against the failing Progressive agenda so far. Not sure what this minority rule your talking about is.

That's the compromise part I mentioned, the 52 to 48.

So if Joe's covering up for his son's child pornography and drug addiction, you stand with the teem no matter what. If their policies allow a half million illegal, un-vetted, un=vaxed people to flood our country you stand with your team "the Democrats", not the American people?
