Of no consequence: I sort of lost it today over the cancellation of my MRI for an Ultra Sound

The MRI was schedule for 8:45 and the Ultra Sound (US) for 3:30; I had decided I would blow off the 3:30 appointment because, in all my vast wisdom and understanding, it was unnecessary; I had had edema in both feet off and on for almost four years. Besides, it would give my VA driver something of a break. But there was, by God's good grace, a cancellation in the Ultra Sound and a delay in the MRI schedule.

When a nurse first confronted me with this change, I told her forget about the US test, we will just wait for the important and possibly life-changing MRI. She professionally cajoled me in conceding to be tested. I told her she was a very good nurse, smart, to get this crotchety old man to concede. But later, at home much later, I had to think it was the Grace of God's timing and soul arrangements. Given the whole situation, I feel it was miraculous.

Ultimately, the result of the US was there was one clot in my leg, and it was very loose, ready to have gun and travel. (Possible assassination attempt, lol. And on Jan 6.) I was put in the ER--and then got stupid. They wanted to do 3 other tests and told me to get into the hospital gown: Wrong! (Why I got like I did I still do not know.) I told the nurse that I would not get into that pathetic clown gown announcing I am hapless. Give the ill some dignity I told her. Flimsy in a very chilly hospital, with a bare ass in the back, no style and a artifact of weakness. Where was a robe? It seemed then a "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" wardrobe. It is inmate wear. What American could willingly agree to be so humiliated? Maybe I over-reacted going AMA. But I got de-clotter medication. The rest is up in the air. Good place, Spirit is there.

A word of advice. Since you obviously want attention lose the ‘of no consequence’ in your titles. It makes no sense anyway.

A risky situation to put yourself in but it is your body and your right to make the choices you do. Just seem to be a conflict given your position on vaccines and masks mandate etc. Regardless take care.
