Alec Baldwin has, in the past, shown himself to be an angry, drunken, despicable person. He publicly berated, denigrated and insulted his daughter. He tweeted about a police officer’s use of force. First picture Karma has finally come calling.

The rest of his life is in the crapper.

He will never have another decent night's sleep for as long as he lives.

I make zero apology. As I said he deserves every bit of it. He has shown himself to be an angry, drunken reprobate.

How so? You do know what the meaning of Karma is don't you? It was Halyna Hutchins who was killed. Her karma has nothing to do with that of Alex Baldwins or is that too hard for you to grasp. Baldwin was told the gun was "cold" when indeed it was loaded with hot rounds. That someone lost their life as the result equates to a tragedy all the way around...

First rule for handling a gun; never take someone else’s word. Always check the gun yourself.

Having said that, someone like Alec Baldwin should not be allowed near any gun, real or prop. His temperament makes him a danger.

That's for sure AuntiE. Every gun safety program instills that incessantly.

I hope Peter isn't on Baldwins jury.

Frankly, he would be a prime candidate for a Red FlagLaw.

It isn't within your power to judge what punishment he deserves.

The world is flooded with angry reprobates and Washington DC is overrun with them.

There are very strict laws around handling prop weapons during a film shoot and even blank ammunition is loaded in front of the crew, says Seth Rossman, a Toronto armaments specialist for film and TV productions.

The weapons master is required to be on set whenever a weapon is being used. The Actors' Equity Association's guidelines state that, "Before each use, the weapons master (armorer) should make sure the gun has been test-fired offstage, supervise a test firing, or test fire it him or herself. The weapons master must watch the prop master check the cylinders and barrel to be sure no foreign object or dummy bullet has become lodged inside. All loading of firearms must be done by the property master, armorer or experienced persons working under their direct supervision.

Nowadays, all weapons are checked before blanks are loaded into the weapon. The blanks themselves are never loaded until the very last minute, when all crew is in position, so the armorer knows exactly where every member of the crew is so that no one's walking through any danger areas the armorer has set up.

We don't know what happened on the set of Rust, but it is fairly common to have a gun pointed at the camera, and by extension the cinematographer, to get a certain angle.

"We've all seen the very famous shots in films where you get that dramatic effect of a gun being pointed at you, the audience, and of course, it's being pointed toward the camera," explained Steven Hall, a veteran second unit director and cinematographer who has worked on films like Fury and Thor: The Dark World.

To minimize that, one would put a remote camera in that place, or at least, if someone does have to operate the camera, I'm normally protected by safety goggles, a safety visor and often a PERSPEX screen that withstands pretty much anything. Obviously, it wouldn't withstand a real shot from a gun, but it would certainly withstand a blank.

By the time a gun or guns are handed to the actor or actors for a rehearsal or take, the gun or guns have been checked by at least three people experienced with firearms. The actors are not required to "safe" the gun before the cameras roll.

The movie "Rust" had a limited budget, the production company could not afford to hire the world class pros, nor did they even hire members of the union (IATSE Local 44). The weapons master (armorer) for this movie, Hanna Gutierrez, is inexperienced, the movie "Rust" would be her 2nd movie. Due to her inexperience, she was reluctant to take on the job, but she signed on. And, it is obvious from what we know so far that she wasn't up to the job. However, Gutierrez cannot be singled out any more than can Baldwin.

Accidents don't just happen, they are caused, and most often it is a series of mistakes that add up and lead to an accident.

To be clear, I am not Alec Baldwin's defense attorney, I am not attempting to exonerate him from any responsibility in this, rather I am defending his rights as an American citizen. All are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Upholding the rule of law is something the leftists never do, and I have no intention of sinking to that level.

Do not perceive my thread is an attempt to deny him his rights. It is not. It is me returning the favor our progressives so often follow; guilty no matter the situation.

You know, without a doubt, had this happened to a ‘conservative’ actor, there would be much worse than what I have created.

So, you're just gonna lower yourself to wallow in the vindictive and hateful cesspool with the leftists?
