Eleanor Roosevelt wrote a column called MY DAY. This is MY THOUGHT

School board members are trying to prevent taxpayers and parents from voice their thoughts, and let the board members use their own foibles to have exclusive discernment, and steal away the right of free speech. The members and candidates would have to sign an affidavit that, if they ever violated any rights, they would be immediately off the board and could never be allowed to be a member of any other board.

AND THAT IS MY HUMBLE OPINION

Generally public comment portions of meetings have basic rules to maintain order. For example a time limit so some crank can’t tie things up for hours. That the speaker address the entire board not individual members. That threats and intimidation will not be tolerated and that people don’t disrupt other business during the meetings. No one is owed a platform to rant rave and make threats at any public meeting. If they do they should be warned then removed if they continue and arrested and charged if they break the law. If it happens at a second meeting they can be banned and charged with trespass if they return.

Kevin do you have any kids in school? Would it be alright with you if kids were made to study Christianity and it's tenets all day long not reading math or science? And before you say that religious it's an ideology as is critical race THEORY an ideology. They don't have the right to teach anything not pertaining to scholastic subjects period.Their job is to teach skills to further their education as they learn. Contractors plumbers electrians doctors don't need CRT to function in society.

Boards are like politicians. They listen to what you say and do what they want. Just my opinion. You have to openly call them out in public.

Exactly. Before they even allow public comments they have made up their mind what they are going to do. The only way to counter that is to, essentially, get in their faces.

Why didn't you tell that to BLM, Antifa, Floyd protesters as they were burning, looting, assaulting and killing to make their voices heard last year? Your hypocrisy makes me sick, take a leap and take FJB with you!

No, the thing to do is recognize that the members of the school board are elected by the community and they reflect the values of that community. They also need to follow laws and standards required by the state and federal government. If you don’t like who is on the board the solution is to run yourself or support someone who shares your warped values. It is not to “get in their face.” That is how you get cuffed and tossed in jail.

My thoughts exactly if you want to change something step up and get elected or put some time in and get involved.

So you disapprove of the democrats way of handling these issues?

Rep. Maxine Waters, for example, notably called for her supporters to harass Trump administration officials in public during a rally in 2018.

“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out, and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters said.

We have a person running for school board here! I asked her how she felt about mask and vaccine mandates and crt? She was for crt and the others! She started her conversation by saying she was a black woman! That did it for me, I told her I chose people by experience and qualities that are of the same ideology as myself! When she said her piece she finished by saying nuff said!! That did it for me! I said I will not vote for you and if my kid was still in school I would home school! Biache!! This is the kind of person that censores parents!!!!!!

School boards have been censoring parents for years and it needs to stop. City councils do the very same thing.
