I was clueless, so I went looking to find out what it all meant. Turns out the sentiment has also been expressed at college football games.

‘LET’S GO BRANDON’ MEME EXPLAINED AS CROWD CHANT BLUNDER GOES VIRAL

This week, the phrase ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ has taken over Twitter.

The viral meme involves NASCAR driver Brandon Brown, a hilarious crowd chant and an NBC reporter’s dodgy hearing.

Here’s what happened…

BRANDON BROWN WON HIS RACE

On Saturday (October 2nd), American professional racing car driver Brandon Brown won his first-ever NASCAR Xfinity Series.

The 28-year-old took the top spot driving a No. 68 Chevrolet Camaro for Brandonbilt Motorsports.

Following the race, he did an interview with NBC, which is where things all went wrong.

THE CROWD STARTED CHANTING

Whilst Brandon spoke to the NBC reporter, he was unaware that something was brewing in the background.

“Thank you to all of our partners. Oh my god it’s just such an unbelievable moment,” he said whilst the race crowd began chanting.

The NBC reporter then picked up on the chant and seemingly assumed that they were shouting “let’s go Brandon” in support of the driver.

“As you can hear the chants from the crowd, ‘Let’s go Brandon’,” she said.

However, what they were actually chanting was “f*** Joe Biden,” showing their disapproval of the US President.

Now, the NBC reporter’s hilarious blunder is going viral on Twitter.

‘LET’S GO BRANDON’ IS NOW A VIRAL MEME

On Twitter, people are finding the reporter’s error pretty hilarious and the hashtag #LetsGoBrandon is going viral as many react to the viral video.

However, others are arguing that the NBC reporter did know what the crowd was chanting, as it was pretty loud and obvious, but was simply trying to cover it up as she was live on air.

Apparently, a new trend has emerged that sees people chanting “f*** Joe Biden” at sporting events across America, such as the NASCAR race so, so this wasn’t an isolated event.

It's a lot better than watching players kneel at the National Anthem.
Hell it ought to be played with the National
Anthem until Biden Resigns and leaves the Whitehouse.

Don't feel bad, I just got it a couple days ago. I like that meme where there's a picture of biden sitting along side of obama and biden says "listen, everyone wants to have sex with me" and obama says "that's not what they're saying joe" or something like that.

I like the way it rolls off the tongue.
I say it often, every day.
Hopefully this desire will come to an end.

It's catching on at sports venue, so, who knows, maybe they will play it with Nat'l Anthem. Or, maybe it'll become part of the pledge of allegiance.

I saw a picture of a college football game, where the spectators wrote in HUGE letter "F*CK JOE BIDEN" up in nose-bleed alley. Now they'll be saying, "Let's Go Brandon" and everyone will know what they mean.

For sure, Joe Biden is a flunky! But some people may prefer not to use foul language.
