Coming to a city near you. Those black helicopters.....

Following up on recent and unannounced training exercises in Florida and Washington state, the U.S. military is conducting a drill in Chicago.

The Windy City’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) told the Chicago Tribune on Tuesday it is providing support for “routine military training exercises,” including flying helicopters in the downtown area of the city at night.

“The training sites have been carefully selected to minimize the impact on the daily routine of residents,” the OEMC said in a statement released to the public. (The practice will take place in the southern part of the city......)

The “realistic urban training” conducted by the U.S. Special Operations Command, based at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, includes the participation of soldiers from the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment headquartered in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

In July, an Army exercise conducted in Port Angeles, Washington, that turned the small city into a simulated war zone and terrorized residents. Frightened citizens flooded the police with phone calls complaining about low flying Chinook helicopters.

In January, the U.S. Army along with other agencies taking over the Carnegie Vanguard High School in Houston, Texas. Alarmed residents called police and complained about gunshots and helicopters.

Earlier that month, a training exercise “designed to ensure that military personnel are able to operate in urban areas and to focus on preparations for overseas deployment” rattled residents of Miami, Florida. The exercise included simulated machine gun fire over a downtown Miami freeway.

Now this should get our resident conspiracy theorist in a twitter.

Notice how these training exercises are done in very liberal cities like Chicago. Most of the people there think that the government is our friend and is there to take care of them as in OIllegalcare. The people in Chicago are very proud of the fact that OIllegal came from there and they trust him completely. They won't have any clue until it is to late.

These exercises have been conducted in Boston also. On an island in Boston harbor, "Moon Island". It's not really an island anymore exactly, as it has been connected to the mainland by way of a viaduct built in the 50's. The island's main use is for the Boston police firing range, where new recruits are trained, and police veterans re-qualify, and practice. It's main use though is for the Boston Fire Department acadamy.3 or 4 times over the past 6 or 7 years, I was ordered to grant access to military personal, so they could conduct black exercises. When I tried to find out which branch of the military it was going to be, I was told not to ask questions, just to grant them access. It was the same every time, the first car would pull up, a guy would get out and say I believe you're expecting us. Right behind him would be 10-12 SUV's and a mobile operations truck. They would set up at the fire acadamy before night fall, then do their thing at night. I tried a couple of times to take a video with my cell phone of the helicopters, but it was pointless as you couldn't see them, I did get audio but that was it. The exercises were done in two nights, never more than three. There had to be a coordinated effort with the F.A.A. as the air space above has landing and take off routes from Logan International Airport. On those nights I didn't see any commercial planes in the area. I must admit, the organization of the these events was impressive.

Just my two cents.

It also sounds scary. I would think that the military has its own areas in which to train so unless this was not military but say homeland security exercises it sounds not only weird but scary. I personally son't know what to make of it but I can't ever remember the government doing exercises like this. They could have and I was at the time not interested or the media wasn't reporting it but I don't remember it. How long have exercises like this been going on? Have these exercises taken place under any other presidency or just this one? Just some curious questions that should be asked.
