Not a single horror that has been predicted for the 21st century because of a changing climate has come to pass.

Today, there is constant alarmism. The media trumpets about melting glaciers and how the rising sea levels will wipe out whole countries, ignoring the fact that 30% of the Netherlands was once under water. Is it only in the Netherlands that water management can maintain human habitation? I think not. Polar bears are seen to be of special concern, with fears that melting ice will cause them to go extinct, yet according to the World Wildlife Fund, they still exist in their original habitat, range, and natural numbers. Such being the case, I take leave to doubt that climate change is wiping out polar bears.

It's normal for the climate to change. Millions of years before the dinosaurs the earth was a solid ball of ice. During the time of the dinosaurs there was no ice at all. The planet continued to cool off and warm up, all without human intervention, and when humans did come along, they adapted to changes in the climate. Up until the 20th century, nobody thought that a change in the weather warranted prophesying the end of the world.

You seem to have left out few things.
Germany flooded out , the West is still on fire and is said to be until November,
As the permafrost melts it is releasing Methane that was frozen and now melting,
Russia has Large amounts of tundra releasing methane.
Rainstorms are more severe because the rain clouds are not propelled by the Jet streams anymore, consequently the clouds more much more slower increasing the amount of rainfall to disastrous amounts .
Co2 elevated to levels never seen here.
Extreme heat is melting roadways and interstates.
Recently the clam and mussel industries out west wound up with cooked unsaleable mollusks,
So only one degree of temperature increase creates havoc for slit of living things.
This of course would include you.
And this is only the stuff I’ve heard about. Nothing scientific.
198 scientists out 200 believe this planet is in its last days.
They will find our shrunken bodies with full tanks of gas, and , oil still in the ground.

When you have a 747 taking off every 3 seconds , do you this this is a good thing carbon wise ? They don’t calculate in gallons they go by pounds.
Every 3 seconds. At an airport near you.

Climate change is in evitable. It is the evolutionary cycle of our world that self maintains it. I think you must’ve skipped the last paragraph of the post. As ice age ends warming trend come back...

You may wish to read up on the El Nino and the El Nina’for its influence of weather patterns...

As for planes just stop flying, help contribute that way... Soon enough the industry will bankrupt and plenty of people back on the Unemployment dole of government ...

Linda, I think you skipped the last paragraph of the post. Most planes generate revenue by transporting cargo. Passengers are just self loading cargo.

2020 had 30 named storms of which 14 became hurricanes and 7 became major hurricanes. This is the most since 2005. Looking back to 1920, there were 5 named storms & 4 hurricanes. I guess it would depend on your definition of "horror"?

A little interesting article to consider..~~

These three cycles overlap in different ways over time given their different periods, which means that ice ages do not always have the same duration. None of these cycles substantially changes the total amount of energy reaching the Earth from the sun; rather, they mostly act to change the distribution of the sun’s energy across the surface of the Earth.

When these cycles cause the northern latitudes to get less sun in the summer, it allows ice sheets to begin to expand. These ice sheets in turn reflect more incoming sunlight back to space, resulting in a “positive feedback” that drives additional regional cooling.

The northern latitudes matter much more than the southern latitudes – at least over the past few million years – as it contains more land area (which can more easily become ice-covered than the oceans) and because the Antarctic has remained covered in ice.

Greenhouse gases
These shifts in the distribution of sun’s energy across the Earth’s surface are not enough to explain the dramatic changes to the climate during ice ages, particularly outside high-latitude regions.

Changes in atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations – and, in particular, CO2 – play a large role in the development of cold conditions during ice ages and warm conditions during interglacial periods. In this case, CO2 is not the immediate cause of ice ages; rather, it serves as a feedback to amplify changes initiated by orbital variations.

There is a well-known correlation between temperatures and CO2 concentrations over glacial periods. The figure below shows both temperatures (red line) – reconstructed from hydrogen isotope analysis – and atmospheric CO2 concentrations (blue line) from air bubbles trapped in Antarctic ice over the past 800,000 years.

Good gracious I may have.. I remember reading over 764k travelers went back to flying just for The 4th of July and in one day no less..
Also some 69 million passengers in 2019..of course 2020 can’t be included ..
Your right, that wouldn’t change anything ..Thank you..

This caused by Carbon that was in the ground and is coming outside of the ground.
We mine it , drill it, boil it , burn it . All Carbon .
Outside of the ground causing problems.
We can’t put this Carbon back in the ground,
But we can stop releasing it.
Wind and Solar would keep a lot of it in the ground.

I’m all for alternative energy too.. Spread the risks so to speak.. Altho I’m more into geothermal than solar which just pollutes the environment anyway.. How do we dispose of it after its supposed 20 year longevity?? Time tells all..

We should keep our air, water and land clean and from there let Mother Nature do her thing as she has done since this beautiful Earth was born...

Water levels may rise for other reasons, but melting ice is not one of them. That's one of the funnier things that liberals say about global warming. Put an ice cube in a glass of water and watch it melt. The level of water in the glass does not go up when the ice cube is melted, just like the water in the oceans won't rise when polar ice melts! They must not have been paying attention to their fourth-grade science teachers! 😂
