If we…

It is my opinion that men, actually, follow this thought process.

In the frozen foods department of Wal-Mart last Saturday morning, I noticed a man shopping with his son. As I walked by, he checked something off his list, and I heard him whisper conspiratorially to the child,

‘You know, Harry, if we really mess this up, we'll never have to do it again.'

If that were NPP, then I would start shopping only for me and our 5 dogs, and allow NPP to get, and cook his own food, and do the dishes after eating. Fortunately, NPP is a great cook and loves to cook, so that is not a problem. On the other hand, neither of us likes to do the housecleaning, but the couple with the year old baby who are living in our single wide have no problem doing the cleaning in exchange for next to no rental fee for the use of the single wide, so they are still here and all of us are satisfied with the arrangements.

Good one. The technique is not limited to just men. I’ve been surprised with all kinds of needless stuff purchased by my spouse incidentally while on a specific mission to Home Depot. Almost as if they were spite purchases.

There are some of us poor men that still try to impress the women in our lives. Okay, some of us may be conniving bums, but not all !.
