The fight against Critical Race Theory in Virginia schools heated up even more on Tuesday as a mother who grew up in China and endured Mao Zedong’s Cultural Revolution tore into the school board at a public meeting.

“I’ve been very alarmed by what’s going on in our schools,” Xi Van Fleet informed Loudoun County School Board members. “You are now teaching, training our children to be social justice warriors and to loathe our country and our history.”

She compared the racist teachings to the Mao-led purge of somewhere between 500,000 and 20 million Chinese that took place from 1966 to 1976. Exact numbers are impossible to accurately determine because of the secrecy of the communist regime.

Van Fleet immigrated from Sichuan province to the US to flee communism. Her son graduated from Loudoun High School in 2015. Now she is fighting for her freedom once again as progressivism takes hold in America.

She shared with Fox News details concerning her childhood and her experiences growing up in communist China on Wednesday evening.

At the time of the purge, Van Fleet was only six years old. But she was old enough to witness the horrors of communism. During the Cultural Revolution, she pointed out, students were pitted against teachers. Propaganda posters were hung in hallways and cafeterias. Students were urged to inform on anyone who was thought to be ideologically impure.

“One of the teachers was considered bourgeoisie because she liked to wear pretty clothes,” Van Fleet recalled. “So the students attacked her and spit on her. She was covered with spit… and pretty soon it became violence.”

“Everything that was considered ‘old,’ feudalist, a vase, Buddhas, everything was taken out and smashed,” she recounted concerning squads raiding homes to both Fox News and the school board.

And reminiscent of today’s America, thought crimes were all the rage: “We were asked to report if we hear anything about someone saying anything showing that there’s a lack of complete loyalty to Mao,” she commented. “There were people reporting their parents, and their parents ended up in jail.”

Van Fleet celebrated her freedom at age 26 when she finally made it to America: “I felt like it’s such a free country, meaning I have free access to all sorts of information – books on both sides of the issues,” she said in her interview.

But now she is having visions of communism once again. “I can’t really just say what I mean, even though the other side can say whatever,” she stated. “To me, and to a lot of Chinese, it is heartbreaking that we escaped communism and now we experience communism here.”

“The Communist regime used the same critical theory to divide people,” Van Fleet charged. “The only difference is they used class instead of race.”

A LEGAL immigrant! Anyone who speaks out against Communism is my friend. The Cubans living in Florida knew NOT to vote for Biden because of his attachment to communism. They turned Florida red.

You're the one with no decency because you're anti-America!!
