TEACHER FAILS ENTIRE CLASS:
An economics professor at a local college made a statement that she had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on this plan". All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A.... (substituting grades for dollars - something closer to home and more readily understood by all).
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.
The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.
As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.
These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read and all applicable to this experiment:
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

This teacher needs professional is not unlike others of that profession. Most college professors are very good at what they do, but not all. I once had a course in modern history. He was a recent convert to Catholicism, and he devoted the entire course on why we should all become Catholics. I had another teacher that had a terrible speech problem that made him drool 24/7. In this country, college teachers that are tenured can not be fired. Thats both good and bad.

Well. I hope they learned their lesson. Too bad the Democrat/Communist Party can't seem to grasp reality

I would be interested in why you think it is good in any aspect.

While I realize your question wasn't posed to me, but my take on it is this: Good tenured professors can't be fired is a good thing, I could guess that a person couldn't get a professor fired just because they didn't like them, disagreed with them, or just didn't like the lesson..in that case I would say it's good they couldn't be fired.. on the other hand, canning bad professors, I guess you're stuck with them.. But also, I reckon that the good professor/bad professor thing is subjective.

I've always really felt that NO ONE should be above being fired!...If they aren't doing their jobs, they should be let go. Too bad we can't do that to some politicians, other than voting time.

Good and bad are indeed subjective.

However, no one else is immune from being fired - perhaps they should join the rest of America.....

Not my question either but here's my two cents.
A tenured professor can teach the class the way they want. The teacher that failed the whole class was most likely tenured because they set the curriculum. Maybe that was only a penny for that thought. Oh well

I agree, But tenured or not, it was a great lesson! Also, that a Lot of these entitled little twerps need to grab a history lesson while they are at it. There has never been a successful socialist state, for the people.. oh it's great for the elite, but the people will always suffer, That is the delusion that these young ones are under, they think that EVERYONE, Including the elite will be putting all that money in a big pot and passed out evenly among everyone..NOT! There are just too many places like that still, in a world that has come so far..for the most part..

So a math professor can teach CRT? A political science teacher can fail any student who voices a conservative opinion in class?

Well I would imagine, that an economics teacher breaking down in a clever way, how socialism doesn't work..because socialism seems to be geared quite a bit to the economics, by the same token I would think the professor should stick to their field, hell I could be wrong..been known to happen, Now a days if a conservative student can or does seem to get in trouble, canceled doxed all that BS in a liberally minded class room, not sure bout being failed, I would think the student could appeal a grade on a paper or lesson.

I don't know what crt is but if it ain't math the math teacher has no reason to teach it. What I said was they can teach the WAY they want. Not what they want. Many teachers spend a lot of money on class room supplies . Books other then the state mandated ones and various learning aids. Like science teachers might buy a skeleton or a molecule set. Once tenured the teacher can set up the classroom the way they think will help get the kids interested. With the security of knowing they can use it year after year
As for failing a student because of opposing views I would say the teacher failed. That's the part of tenure being both good and bad IMHO
