First time I heard this song was on a Ronco record covered by the Stylistics. I had no idea when I bought the record it was a cover album.
So...I redeemed myself by finding and posting the original.

Though I had never heard it before...as a dog lover, I can appreciate this song. I've never had a dog that wasn't with me/us for at least 15 years or longer...each died of old age/natural causes.

I only heard it on the
radio back in the day and it hasn't been on since.
It's cats for me. I have 4 that are older than 13 years and one that's older than 16 years.
They're pretty durable and I love them every one. Amazing creatures, every one a work of art, like a precious stone.
