In the original Hebrew, however, at no point is the apple (tapuach, תפוח) mentioned. The myth of the apple developed due to a mistake made by St. Jerome when he created the Latin version of the Bible, known as Vulgate in the year 382.

So what fruit was it then? Jewish sources offer several answers: nut (אגוז, egoz); citron (etrog, אתרוג); vine (gefen, גפן); wheat (חיטה, chitah); and fig (tenah, תאנה). The two most widespread interpretations are those of the vine and the fig, the prevailing one is of the fig as it is the first tree that appears in Genesis. Moreover, the text recounts that when the first couple realized that they were naked, they sewed a loincloth using a leaf of the fig tree.

None of the above. The fruit was unique to that tree exclusively and disappeared with Eden. People concern themselves with minutia and miss the true teachings. I wonder who benefits when that happens?

So you know this how? I know you weren't there. So, somebody taught you that or you read it somewhere. You made a choice to believe that or not.
The individual who wants to know God better and as a friend, not as a dictator. He isn't a dictator and He never forces anyone to do anything. But He does reveal actions have consequences. He only gave us ten simple laws and no one has ever been able to keep them all, except His son. That why He was able to pay the price for all our sins. That's the gospel or good news whether you believe it or not.
No one makes you do anything. You can believe whatever you like. It's why most of our way too many laws, follow the big ten. If you can keep those you should never ever get arrested for anything. Unless you enjoy breaking the law. Jaywalking is the dumbest law on the books. Adults must walk to the corner to cross the street? Why can't they just look both ways and use their own judgment? If they don't make it, too bad. If they're not killed, they have learned they're not as fast as they thought. A valuable lesson and sometimes drivers just don't see you and can't react in time.
I'd prefer no one worship Satan but it's legal for now. I don't like that but I'm not going to kill them unless I see them sacrificing a child or raping someone. Something extreme.
