Conservative National Review Says The Republic Would Be Better Served By Fewer But "Better" Voters

It's coming out in different ways what the GOP is actually doing with voter suppression. They have said in a dozen ways that more and easier voting means republicans will lose their power and hold on control as a minority voter block. You can listen to all the blather about it being fraud, but the reality is that if everyone who is eligible to vote did, republicans are decisively outnumbered. Take away obstacles to voting and republicans lose, and I'm not talking about voter ID, that is a non issue anymore, although the GOP keeps making it harder and harder to get ID in many states...

So okay, let's say ID is a thing, now automatically register everyone who has legitimate ID through any legitimate database...that could be social security because their database knows whether a person is a citizen or not. Task a state's DMV with legitimizing citizenship status, many states already validate voter registration through the driver's license process.

But I digress from topic, a conservative publication just published the observation couched as a question about why wouldn't we believe that we would be better off with few but somehow better qualified voters. And of course the unspoken would be who those unqualified voters would be. If you read this article, the in depth argument is that we have grossly unqualified or ignorant voters that it doesn't make sense to make it easier for to vote. By that same argument we have grossly ignorant people voting that have seriously stupid and misguided beliefs that rule their voting process in ways that harms the country. So to serve the voting process we would need to screen voters with a knowledge qualifier...which knocks a whole bunch of voters out of the running.

Dead ones...imaginary ones...ones that don't actually live in a district or vote more than once. I see no problem with few voters.

How about eligibility to vote be determined by what you do for your country. Two years in the military, any branch, gives you the right to vote. Don’t serve, Can’t vote.

For starters, they can ignore Democrap voters. Considering that most people think that 18 is old enough to vote, or get drafted, but not old enough to drink or purchase a handgun, I think we should eliminate them.
An 18 year old kid can carry a select fire rifle into battle but can't buy a handgun. He can vote but can't buy a beer. What kind of crap is that?

You must be a natural-born American citizen, at least 35 years of age, to run for President. To be a Senator you must be at least 30 years of age, and for Representative, 25 years of age.

I submit that the same requirement should apply to vote for those positions.

I do agree that the Republic would be better served by fewer but better voters & thus I think you shouldn't vote.
