Dividing the cost by every American is $6,051.74 The government could have given every person over $6,000, but instead will give $1,200 to each adult under a certain income. Want to know where the missing 96% of your tax dollars went? Here you go. . .

Did you care about senseless tax cuts that increased the deficit by hundreds of billions a year, or trillions in Covid relief where $22 Billion went to Amazon when they were hiring a hundred thousand more people to keep up with their demands for more business, or cruise lines that don't pay any taxes, or airlines?

If not please just shut up, this is mindless noise worrying about one thing but not another that is more senseless.

Everything I read and everything I hear just makes me more nauseous. When a country is going broke, finances in the billions in the red, why do we open our borders to more hungry mouths to feed and house. During the Great Depression, the government didn’t give stimulus money to every person in the country. We survived!
We were sometimes desperate but the poor survived the rich committed suicide or so I’ve understood all my life. And the people who survived went on to be conscious of every penny and even to find the strength and courage to fight and win the 2nd World War. What is wrong with us today? Have we grown stupid here in the land of plenty and, one more question, where is it written that we must accept millions of immigrants every year while we abort our babies?

We weren’t allowed to tell you to just shut up for four years of senseless name calling.
Absurd names, like Orangeman, pumpkin whatever while he was doing his best to put everyone to work, blacks, Mexicans, and even privileged, but out of employment, whites.

**During the Great Depression, the government didn’t give stimulus money to every person in the country.

It was through the government programs
That the Great Depression was eased.
Government contracts for work, government instituted jobs (WPA)
Basically just digging holes and refilling them.
That was back when we as a country possessed a Work Ethic.
Which has eroded due to various reasons.
We have since moved out most of our jobs overseas to increase the Domestic Profit margin.
We continue to have China make all of our stuff keeping with Reagan’s supply side economics.

The WPA AND CCC were not useless programs. The WPA built sidewalks, trails and facilities, many of which are still in use and the CCC was a civilian training program that was quicky converted into the army that won WWII.

Woody the hypocrite accusing someone else of hypocrisy. How interesting. But I do sort of agree. Trump should never have signed the one he signed, especially after outlining all the money going to idiotic things and other countries.

Both ended in 1942. Different time and different society/culture.

There are a few good programs today - but not many. You know any?
