The Supreme Court on Monday cleared the way for New York prosecutors to obtain eight years of financial records from the accountants and bankers of former President Trump as part of a criminal fraud and tax investigation involving him and the Trump Organization.
His lawyers had urged the court to block the subpoenas issued by a New York grand jury on the grounds they were overly broad and politically motivated.
Manhattan Dist. Atty. Cyrus Vance Jr. has not revealed what the grand jury is investigating, but in court filings his office said it was looking into potential "protracted criminal conduct at the Trump Organization."
Michael Cohen, a former lawyer and fixer who worked for the former president, testified that Trump regularly inflated the value of his holdings when he was seeking loans and deflated the value of the same assets to lower his taxes. Making false statements on loan documents or tax filings can be prosecuted as fraud.
During the 2016 presidential campaign, Cohen said, he also arranged hush money payments to two women who had affairs with Trump.

Value is a transient thing and severely subjective. It is NOT limited to tax based appraisals nor is it based upon the market. Trump will win out, unless the court involved is playing politics as we have seen in all too many state supreme courts, in which case Trump has other options available to him which will prevent him from suffering one iota regarding this.

The Supreme Court hash been bought. This is just more wasted time and money and anger and hatred. Wonder what will happen when this great Republic has to declare bankruptcy and is taken over by the unholy United Nations. Think about it. We’ve printed so much worthless paper that you may be sure it’s coming.

Since 2016 Trump has been saying he'd be happy to release his tax returns as soon as his audit is through. Then his lawyers have been fighting tooth and nail for 4 years to keep the returns hidden. Finally the SCOTUS has given them to the NY prosecutors. Trump's done.

EXCELLENT Topic
We must continue these daily smear tactics of President Donald J. Trump
In order to misdirect the American people,
If we are to succeed in Tearing down the United States, and let China Joe Biden sell us all out to the Globalist who will not rest until they turn our country into a sh!thole, where mindless, people roam the earth, and submit to the Socialist way of life.
In the last month we have witnessed price increases on every item of necessity, and the promise of a 3 Trillion Dollar Tax increase on Americans, by Joe Biden & Kamala Harris.
Bend over America and accept your Socialist Enema.

They gambled on wholesale rates, and lost. They won't have to pay it. Those of us locked in have zero increase. That's like 99.9% of us.

At the hands of a Texas Republican administration that wants zero regulation. Perhaps they should have left their power turned off? My son lives in Houston & ran his generator while the cost of electricity we high, but some folks (those in apartments) may not have that option. Still, customers shouldn't see electricity this expensive.

More "news" from New York? More activity from John Roberts, a "good old boy from the Washington D.C. club? I don't think our president, who doesn't take a salary, and is a successful businessman who earns his own wage in the private sector, to the envy of wannabes in the public sector, is worried about it?
