Unless some Democrats vote no, it’s a done deal.

You'll see, it's not a secret vote...what, you want to know beforehand so they can be threatened?

Hate to break it to you, it's said to be more like 20, and that is a dam that could be breaking, McConnell could bring 2/3rds to the senate for a quickie that ends this dumping of trump.

Will not get a conviction in the Senate. By the time the Senate can schedule a trial Trump will be a private citizen and a trial would probably be unconstitutional.

Not probably. They’ve been pointing out that if what Trump did was impeachable, the capitol would be empty. Now 6 Republicans. Of course McConnell will vote yes. It was freedom of speech and apparently your average citizens are not the only ones who have lost freedom of speech.

An impeachment is not really a trial, a vote can happen without hearings and evidence just like McConnell did a speed version the first time. This impeachment could easily be judged and voted on on the basis of the things trump said and did in public, it is not a court of law, they need no proof to decide it justifies an impeachment.

As a civilian it will proceed, an impeachment has ramifications and consequences such as stripping him of the government funded perks of an ex president, preventing him from ever running for any office, preventing him from ever getting any government contract...and then there would be the potential for federal criminal charges such as sedition or obstruction, neither of which would any pardon protect him from as impeachment negates a pardon.

What if they change him with the equivalent of war crimes since they can’t actually use war crimes because he’s started no wars, only made peace. What would be equivalent be. I was happy to learn on OPP that he has his own private security, otherwise I’d be worried about assassination or next week, Murder!
