It's about time! ! ! A monopoly on speech is a very communistic ideal, and the liberals on OPP should know that.

Pray tell, what is the problem with either part of that statement? In a communistic regime, free speech and freedom of the press is controlled by the government. And, again, I think the liberals and dummycrats on OPP would have to agree with that. What I stated is true.

Oh, but to say you are right would force them to admit they want communism. Ok so they use the softened phrase Socialism. AND YES I KNOW THE DIFFERENCES.

Of course you are with the losers, it's the side you chose
Good luck with that, this is going to cost a lot of money for a losing end result, Parler was not enforcing it's core terms of service, that case will be done before it starts.

But if trump would have won relected what would he have done to the media. If he could do what he would like to have done there would be no media but trump news ?Any media that said anything against him ,he would have shut down .And that would be if he had the power to do that . You would all agree with him to.

Wrong, again. What we need is freedom of the press to apply to all media with the added caveat that people COULD BE SUED FOR LIBEL when they print false statements. Remember when the Washington Post agreed to a settlement over a whopping $250 million lawsuit filed by Covington High School student Nick Sandmann over its botched coverage of his 2019 encounter with a Native American elder. Sandmann was FALSELY accused by many media sources of starting a racial incident, but all the videos showed otherwise. Yes, people should be able to sue for libel when appropriate.

The settlement will allow the newspaper to avoid a lengthy and potentially unpredictable trial.
The judge overseeing the case previously dismissed the lawsuit against The Post last summer. But he later reinstated the case, narrowing its scope significantly.

Thanks for that article. Sandmann was also pursuing lawsuits against some other media outlets that had slandered him as the Post had.
I'd forgotten about the Black Hebrew Israelites. I think they and Nathan Phillips should have also been sued as they WERE the instigators in this whole ugly episode and attack on Sandmann. They just shouldn't get off free without consequences for their bigoted actions. Just because one is black or native American doesn't mean you aren't prejudiced or bigoted. Those unlovely human traits are found in every human being in some way or another.
