The only successful coup d'état to have taken place on U.S. soil was lead by a Democrat

Alfred Moore Waddell (September 16, 1834 – March 17, 1912) was an American politician and white supremacist. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as a U.S. representative from North Carolina between 1871 and 1879 and as mayor of Wilmington, North Carolina from 1898 to 1906.
Waddell was a leader of the Wilmington insurrection of 1898, in which a violent, coordinated mob of about 2,000 white men massacred up to 300 African-Americans, destroyed the property and businesses of African-Americans, and overthrew the elected Fusion government of the city of Wilmington, North Carolina; and Waddell became mayor of Wilmington after holding his predecessor at gunpoint and forcing him to resign. This event is considered to be the only coup d'état to have taken place on U.S. soil, and helped to initiate an era of severe racial segregation and disenfranchisement of African-Americans throughout the South.
An avowed white supremacist, Waddell is also credited with popularizing the term "race riot."

Great post. We must keep reminding the Democrats that it was, and is, their party that does not believe that all men are created equal, that still believes that non white people must remain puppets and dupes of the Democrat party.

Remind people that those racists now belong to the GOP.

Those racists are dead, but were Democrats and that is a fact.
The real Conservatives of today, like the real followers of Donald Trump, are not racist and don't use them in elections and then forget them. Democrats do that and always did. We welcome all minorities into the Republican Party as long as they really believe in a free America.

I won't go and say they think of them as slaves. Though a short look at history will show just how little Dems have ever done for them. People are people, and we can't change that, nor should we try. Sadly the most racest people in our nation show it, and work hard to keep it going.

Dixiecrats not welcome into the republican party? That's funny. Your party is polluted with them.
That southern strategy worked well. It showed exactly who the GOP was. Then Reagan with his fictional welfare queen.

That was then, this is now. The Democratic Party was once the party of the South. Now most if not all of the South is Republican. Times change!

Apparently the south got better for the change. And we are not the racist party that some idiots would try to paint us. We are for freedom and equality, not special interests. Try it. You might like the new and better quality of people there.

The GOP is the party that gutted the civil rights amendment, suppresses minority voting, claims every minority is not eligible for public office . That is some of your support.

Well, I'm glad we got that precedent straight.
You realize that means no republican was smart enough to do it.

The majority of voters in Georgia might agree with some of your statements

You are right on target but the Democrats choose to make up their own lies to get what they want.
