How can the population of the U.S. become reunited?

Let's be honest. Trump brought out the worst in all of us. No one was happy, not even those who were ‘winning’. Trump separated the 2 sides and drove a wedge right through the middle and opened up divisions that ANY SOCIETY HAS and the fact that he exposed them is not a bad thing.

The main thing is do you believe in the fundamental goodness of people as Biden does or do you see life as transactional where you don’t like either side but just use one and pit them against the other like Trump.

Many recent studies have shown and the pandemic has proven, we are not like “Lord of the Flies’ where we turn on each other once there are shortages. It is remarkable how millions of Americans have pitched in and reminds us that the US is exceptional and not in all the bad ways that Trump has brought out.

I fully expect a flowering of literature, of compromise, of working together of a mini-baby boom. People will want to turn their back on the Trump era which never forget had its lowest point with the pandemic.

If you believe in a higher being or even if you do not, it should be comforting to know that by far the largest number of Americans want to be in the middle every way.

We chose a uniter, an older white guy who is already showing us that while he is not perfect we are not perfect. He has chosen experience, he has walked the walk so far and I believe he will lead us with his team to a good 2021 when the pandemic will end and then 3 years of outstanding growth and progress across several fronts. This man will calmly lead America during this period and we will be happy that he is there. He will pray with us, he will not be spectacular but he will bring us together.

The era of Trump will fade and with it, will come a flowering of the USA that we have not seen in a long time.

Trump exposed the divisions that existed already. Obama did more to drive a wedge between us. For the Left, it has always been "We need a leader. Now, shut up, and do as I say." Pushback drove them insane. Now the asylum is going to be run by the lunatics.

Yeah, he did a great job uniting the country after the siege on the Capitol. He lumped all 75 million Trump voters together as domestic terrorists, but where was he during the riots, peaceful protests (snark), and demonstrations last summer to denounce the violence by Antifa and BLM? Nary a word from him.

How did pbama drive a wedge between anybody? The thing I remember most is the night I remember most is the nite obama was declared the next president. I was working ,and when the plant heard over the PA system that he had been elected ,all I heard was that neigor will will die we ain't having a neigor will die . It cannot be returned to one country with slight differences between parties because one half wants a system that is primarily free market capitalism with a small amount of democrat socialism thrown in. The other side(the one that will be in power in a few days) wants a one world communist government with a small number of people in control of everyone else, with serious penatilies for disobeying the rules set by the dictators in charge.
