Both my cells gave me the same emergency alert at the same time...including the one I no longer use.
Neither has ever done so before.
Out of curiosity I called a mutual friend on the OPP.
She got an alert too.
I did not. What did the alert say? Was it a test?

They left me out, of course. What time was that?

Nothing in NJ. Anything going on @ Nellis ?
Local news just reported an "accidental" sending out of this alert. How strange that such a thing would happen now, here in Nevada, where they cheated.

A few hours ago. Had to take one of my cats to the vet so I got occupied. Just now got around to posting.πΊ

It said "Alert! Your battery is low..." and then something about as per required two week testing...
Naturally the message itself vanished from my phone.
My phone was plugged in at that time, 7:56 here. If I had the alert, it disappeared.
Maybe itβs just Nevada. Is your friend also in Nevada? Strange things will be happening.

INCOMING !!!
x22 report has a clue 31 minutes in.
Seems the FCC has ordered everyone to make sure their emergency broadcasting systems are functional. I think the administration is worried about rural folks...especially Native American Tribes. Gotta keep folks safe, right?
I live about half a mile from the Piute Res. π
I guess NV "accidently"
broadcasted the test.Well. Someone screwed up...
...or someone
wanted public attention and did it on purpose.
Who do you suppose might do such a thing?π
Good thing I know what it sounds like. If your phone's never done it trust me...it's distinctive, LOUD and works on phones no longer in service as long as they have the tiniest little bit of power.
