Of no consequence: Long Walk Novembering

For some reason I like the bleakness of this month, stuck in a stark limbo between seasons. No promises or rewards of any kind there...except Thanksgiving. It is an oasis of warmth and kindness unsurpassed by any other month or time. A bold and blessed God visit.

Trudging (moving with purpose) through all the many decades of my life, that day--maybe a capital "D" to Day is appropriate-- has always been a wonderful welcoming home to a peace beyond all understanding.

I will, sort of, spend it alone for the first time, yet taking time to fix a facsimile of the delightful feast minus Sasha's made from scratch pumpkin pie. But don't cry for me. There are numerous large tables loaded with great bounty and people in my memory. I can hear their laughter, feel their care and affection. Thank you, father.

So very kind, and you. Sorry for your loneliness, but you right, God can fill it.
