Are U going to sit on your asses & do nothing? Are u placing all the responsibility on the Gov to punish China? If Biden is elected China will blackmail him. They have already paid him 20,000,000 and hs son $30,000,000. Boden will do nothing. U as one person can collectively make a big dig on china. Do U know what it is? I don't beleive Trump can do mush unless he is re-elected.

Well, there is that, too, Wolf .... would make it easier not having to look for that "Made in China" label ...

China makes things so they break, tear, wear out sooner than quality goods. Years ago China marketed their goods to America's poor. People actually joked about it. And then the middle class began to suffer and had to buy goods not based on quality but rather what they could afford. During the past three years, people are buying more "Made in USA, Germany, and the UK" leaving China, Japan, Korea goods collecting dust. We should all consider which economy we want to bolster, our economy or China's?

Actually, Sam, I've been doing that for some time. I also raise my voice in certain stores whose inventories are mostly goods made in china and let them know that they have missed out on my business for particular items because of it, as I will look elsewhere to find whatever I need made in the USA. I pestered the clerks in my local pet supply store so much that the manager caught up with me one day and told me they had a meeting about me and to tell me that because of my complaints/suggestions they would be working to stock more products made in the USA. That was several years ago, and they have made some positive changes.

I hope what you are doing catches on! It takes just a little research to find quality products made in USA.

It does take time, but you can usually find whatever it is you're looking for. And if I can't find it, I tell myself I don't really need it that bad anyway.

I find that when I make comments at the checkout counter, in a rather loud voice, often others in line behind me will nod in agreement. Of course, I don't know if they're agreeing with me or if they're just afraid of me at that point, but I always have hope they will follow suit ... or at least think about it next time they purchase something. My sister does the same thing ... and she's scarier than I am ...

Yeah, nothing like mutually assured destruction to punish them for a virus that started in their country. Sounds like your conservative mind is working hard this fine morning...

Well, I, for one, would be very happy to buy only products made in my country by my fellow American citizens, but that has become almost an impossibility. A prime example --- I want to buy a new vehicle to replace my 20 year old one. But, it seems no vehicles are actually MADE in American by Americans. Many, many of the parts of an auto are made outside our country and, at best, the final product is just assembled here. Also, it seems that some of the auto companies in the USA are actually owned by foreigners, not Americans. So, what choice do I have? As for other every day products, the list made outside our country is so long, I don't even know what they are. Until recently, I had no idea that so many of our medications, both prescription and OTC, are made in China, of all places. That doesn't affect me extensively because I take little medication, but the very thought of trusting CHINA about anything much less our medications is beyond scary. So, you all here on this web site, tell me how can I, just an ordinary US citizen, support my own country instead of other nations, in the purchases I make?
